"Defy You" is a song by American punk rock band The Offspring. It was recorded, along with its own music video, in 2001 after the release of their album ''Conspiracy of One'' for the movie ''Orange County (film), Orange County''. The song was also released as a single in December 2001. Despite early claims that the song would appear on the next Offspring album at the time (which would become ''Splinter (The Offspring album), Splinter''), it was never released on any of their albums save for their ''Greatest Hits (The Offspring album), Greatest Hits'' compilation. However, an acoustic version was released on the Japanese edition of ''Splinter''. The song was also the final single featuring Ron Welty on drums. The Offspring
The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, the band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bryan "Dexter" Holland, lead guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman and bassist Todd Morse. Over the course of their -year career, The Offspring have released 10 studio albums and have also experienced a number of lineup changes, most notably with their drummer. Their longest-serving drummer was Ron Welty, who replaced original drummer James Lilja in 1987 and stayed with The Offspring for 16 years. Welty was replaced by Atom Willard in 2003, who was replaced four years later by Pete Parada, who remained as the drummer for The Offspring until 2021. Gregory "Greg K." It is featured as the third track from their sixth studio album, '' Conspiracy of One'', and was released as its first single on October 10, 2000. David Charles Meyers (born October 19, 1972) is an American music video, commercial and film director. Early life Born and raised in Berkeley, California, Dave Meyers developed his love for film while working for a local Landmark cinema at age 17.
