Henry Ferguson Davie
General Sir Henry Robert Ferguson Davie, 1st Baronet DL (1797 – 30 November 1885), known as Henry Ferguson until 1846, of Creedy Park, Sandford, Devon, was Liberal Member of Parliament for Haddington in East Lothian, Scotland, 1847 to 1878 and an army officer. The son of Robert Ferguson, Fife, he joined the British Army in 1818. He rose through the ranks as follows: Lieutenant (1819), Captain (1822), Major (1826), Lieutenant Colonel (1828), Colonel (1841), Major General (1854), Lieutenant General (1860) and General (1866). He was appointed Colonel of the 73rd (Perthshire) Regiment of Foot on 17 February 1865. Davie Allan is an American guitarist best known for his work on soundtracks to various teen and biker movies in the 1960s. Allan's backing band is almost always the Arrows (i.e., Davie Allan & the Arrows), although the Arrows have never had a stable lineup. Biography Allan grew up in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California, and learned to play guitar as a teenager. His career as a musician began when he teamed up with Mike Curb, a friend he met in the choir at Grant High School in Valley Glen, California, to form an instrumental surf combo. Davide Biale (born 5 April 1994), better known by his online alias Davie504, is an Italian musician and YouTuber. He is best known for playing bass guitar, primarily with a slapping technique, and creating several covers and viral videos. Career Biale began playing bass in high school after being influenced by Kiss bassist Gene Simmons. In 2011, he created a channel named Davie504, and began to upload unconventional cover performances of songs in 2012. William Richardson Davie (June 20, 1756 – November 29, 1820) was a Founding Father of the United States, military officer during the Revolutionary War, and 10th Governor of North Carolina, from 1798–1799. A member of the Federalist Party, Davie served as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention as a representative of North Carolina. He is also one of the key founders of the University of North Carolina. Early life Davie was born in Egremont, County Cumberland in North West England, where his father Archibald Davie had settled with his mother, Mary Richardson, whose family came from Dumfriesshire, Scotland. Theodore Davie
Theodore Davie (March 22, 1852 in Brixton, London – March 7, 1898 in Victoria, British Columbia) was a British Columbia lawyer, politician, and jurist. He practised law in Cassiar and Nanaimo before settling in Victoria and becoming a leading criminal lawyer. He was the brother of Alexander Edmund Batson Davie, who served as premier of British Columbia from 1887 to 1889. Theodore Davie was first elected to the provincial legislature in 1882. In 1889, he became attorney-general under Premier John Robson, and succeeded Robson as premier in 1892. Davie's government passed a ''Redistribution Bill'' to give the mainland of the province greater representation in the legislature. His government also provided financial incentives to the railways in an effort to stimulate the economy. Alexander Grimmond Davie (born 10 June 1945) is a Scottish former footballer, who played as goalkeeper. Davie spent most of his career with Dundee United and represented Scotland at under-23 level and New Zealand at senior level. In 1967, Ted Bates tried to sign Davie for £15,000 but the offer was rejected. He eventually joined Southampton in May 1970 (for a fee of £12,500) as cover for Eric Martin, but only made one appearance for the Saints on 20 February 1971 in a 5–1 defeat at Manchester United. Four of Manchester United's goals were scored by Alan Gowling. He returned to his home town club in May 1972 where he enjoyed several good seasons before emigrating to New Zealand.
