David Feldman (comedian)
David Feldman is an American stand-up comedian, comedy writer, and podcaster. In 2009, Feldman launched the listener-supported ''David Feldman Show'' (formerly known as the ''David Feldman Comedy Podcast''), which includes a diverse mixture of live and prerecorded content. In November 2013, he released a special digital download compilation album called ''The Very Best of the David Feldman Show, Vol. 1''. He has also written on ABC's ''Roseanne'', HBO's ''Dennis Miller Live'', HBO's '' Real Time with Bill Maher'', Comedy Central's ''The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'', and Fox's ''Talk Show With Spike Feresten''. Comedian
A comedian or comic is a person who seeks to entertain an audience by making them laugh. This might be through jokes or amusing situations, or acting foolish (as in slapstick), or employing prop comedy. A comedian who addresses an audience directly is called a stand-up comedian. A popular saying often attributed to Ed Wynn attempts to differentiate the two terms: "A comic says funny things; a comedian says things funny." This draws a distinction between how much of the comedy can be attributed to verbal content and how much to acting and persona. Since the 1980s, a new wave of comedy, called alternative comedy, has grown in popularity with its more offbeat and experimental style. Triumph The Insult Comic Dog
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is a puppet character created, puppeteered and voiced by Robert Smigel. As his name indicates, Triumph's comedic style is almost exclusively insult comedy. A Montenegrin Mountain Hound, Triumph often puffs a cigar, which usually falls out of his mouth when he starts talking. He first appeared in 1997 on NBC's ''Late Night with Conan O'Brien'', and also appeared on ''The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien'' from time to time, as well as the short-lived '' TV Funhouse'', TBS's '' Conan'', Adult Swim's ''The Jack and Triumph Show'', and ''The Late Show with Stephen Colbert''. ''The Tonight Show'' is an American late-night talk show that has aired on NBC since 1954. The show has been hosted by six comedians: Steve Allen (1954–1957), Jack Paar (1957–1962), Johnny Carson (1962–1992), Jay Leno (1992–2009 and 2010–2014), Conan O'Brien (2009–2010), and Jimmy Fallon (2014–present). Robert Smigel (born February 7, 1960) is an American actor, comedian, writer, director, producer, and puppeteer, known for his ''Saturday Night Live'' " TV Funhouse" cartoon shorts and as the puppeteer and voice behind Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. He also co-wrote the first two ''Hotel Transylvania'' films and '' You Don't Mess with the Zohan'', all starring Adam Sandler.
