David Lawrence Davidson (born April 23, 1984) is a Canadian former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Florida Marlins. Career Davidson was drafted by the Pirates in the 10th round of the 2002 Major League Baseball draft. On September 3, 2007, the Pirates called him up. He made his debut on September 6 and gave up 3 earned runs in 1 inning. Davidson played in the 2008 Summer Olympics, as a member of Canada's national team. He played for Canada in the 2009 World Baseball Classic. Davidson was claimed off waivers by the Florida Marlins on April 24, 2009. He was called up on May 21, and designated for assignment two days later. On May 28, Davidson was claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles and immediately optioned to Triple-A Norfolk. David Davidson (born November 17, 1986) is a Ghanaian footballer. Career After starting his career with Hearts of Oak in Ghana, Davidson went on trial with Fenerbache in 2006, eventually spending two-year with their second team. Davidson then played for KooTeePee and TP-47 in Finland before moving to Kazakhstan Premier League side FC Taraz during the summer of 2009. The following September, Davidson signed with Tajik League side Vakhsh Qurghonteppa. David Davidson (August 21, 1854 in Stockholm – 1942) was a noted Swedish economist. He was professor of economics and taxation law (then still under its former Swedish designation "finance law") at Uppsala University from 1890 to 1919. He founded and edited the journal ''Ekonomisk Tidskrift'' (known 1965-1975 as the ''Swedish Journal of Economics'', and since 1976 as the ''Scandinavian Journal of Economics ''The Scandinavian Journal of Economics'' was established as the ''Ekonomisk Tidskrift'' (in Swedish) in 1899 by David Davidson. David Davidson (born 25 January 1943 in Edinburgh) is a former Scottish Conservative and Unionist politician. He was a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP), serving as one of the additional members for the North East Scotland region, from 1999 to 2007. Davidson was previously a councillor in Stirling. While in parliament, he was a director of the Scottish Parliament Business Exchange from 2001 until 2007.
