David Armitage Bannerman
David Armitage Bannerman OBE, MA, SD (Cantab), Hon. LL.D. (Glasgow), FRSE, FZS (27 November 1886 – 6 April 1979) was a British ornithologist. From 1919 to 1952 he was Curator of the British Museum of Natural History (now called the Natural History Museum, London). Biography He was the son of David Alexander Bannerman. He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, before going to university. David Campbell Bannerman
David Campbell Bannerman (born 28 May 1960 in Bombay, India) is a British Conservative Party politician who served as Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the East of England from 2009 to 2019. He is currently Chairman of The Freedom Association. He served as Deputy Leader of UK Independence Party (UKIP) from 2006 until 2010, when he was replaced by Paul Nuttall. Before joining UKIP, he was a Conservative activist who came to prominence as Chairman of the Bow Group. He stood for Parliament as a Conservative at the 1997 election in Glasgow Rutherglen and in 2001 in Warwick and Leamington. Campbell Bannerman joined UKIP in 2004, and was elected in 2009. In 2011, he defected back to the Conservative Party. He has been a long-term critic of the European Union, and has had many roles in eurosceptic advocacy groups. David Bannerman (bishop)
David Hugh Bannerman is a retired South African Anglican bishop. Education Bannerman holds a Diploma in Theology ( St Paul's College, Grahamstown), BA ( Unisa), a BAHons Psy (Unisa) and Master's in Theology (Unisa). Clerical career Bannerman started his church career in 1973 at St. John's Cathedral, Bulawayo and then moved to the Diocese of Bloemfontein in 1977. In 1995 he moved to the Diocese of South Eastern Transvaal where he became Rector of St. Dunstan's Cathedral and Dean in 1999. In succession to David Beetge, he was consecrated as bishop and installed as Bishop of the Highveld on 25 April 2009. Retiring, Bannerman's term of office ended on 31 January 2015. He was granted Permission to Officiate in The Diocese of Canterbury, for a period of three years, with effect from 10 May 2021.
