Darrin Nelson
Darrin Milo Nelson (born January 2, 1959) is a former American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Minnesota Vikings and San Diego Chargers. He played college football at Stanford University. Early years Nelson attended Pius X High School (Downey, California), Pius X High School. He accepted a football scholarship from Stanford University to play under head coach Bill Walsh (American football coach), Bill Walsh. In his first year, he was named the starter and became the first freshman running back in conference history to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season. He registered 183 carries for 1,069 yards, 3 rushing touchdowns, 50 receptions for 524 yards and 3 receiving touchdowns. As a sophomore, he posted 167 carries for 1,061 yards, 6 rushing touchdowns, 50 receptions for 446 yards and 4 receiving touchdowns. In 1979, he was lost for the season with a hamstring injury. Tim Spencer (American Football)
Timothy Arnold Spencer (born December 10, 1960) is a former professional American football running back who played in the USFL and NFL from 1983 to 1990. Playing career Spencer was drafted by the Chicago Blitz of the United States Football League in 1983 after a college football career at Ohio State where he ran for 1371 yards in his senior season. He closed out his career with 3,553 yards rushing and ranks fifth on OSU's all-time rushing list, trailing only Archie Griffin (5,589), J. K. Dobbins (4,459), Ezekiel Elliott (3,961), and Eddie George (3,768). Spencer shared the backfield with Kevin Long as the starting running back with Chicago and rushed for 1157 yards on 300 carries with six touchdowns in his rookie season. Thomas Edward "Ted" Brown (born February 15, 1957) is a former American college and professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons during the late 1970s and 1980s.
