Darkstar (Laynia Petrovna) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She has been depicted as a mutant superhero and a member of various super-teams in her career, including X-Corporation and Champions of Los Angeles. Publication history Darkstar first appeared in ''The Champions'' #7 (Aug. 1976), and was created by Tony Isabella and George Tuska. She became a regular character in ''Champions'' for the remainder of the series' brief run, though she never joined the titular super group. A memo from series writer Bill Mantlo revealed that he intended for her to be a "floating" member who would come and go from the book as the occasion called for. Starshine (comics)
Starshine is the name of three Fictional character, fictional American comic book characters owned by the Marvel Comics and appearing in that company's Marvel Universe. The first version was Landra, an alien woman who was by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Sal Buscema. The second iteration was Brandy Clark, an Earth girl who was again written by Mantlo and Buscema. The third iteration was the Galadorian Anarra, one of the Third Generation Spaceknights introduced in Jim Starlin's ''Spaceknights'' mini-series. Rom the Space Knight is a superhero, originally a toy and then a magazine lead. Rom was created by Scott Dankman, Richard C. Levy, and Bryan L. McCoy for Parker Brothers and is now a Hasbro asset. After the toy was licensed to Marvel Comics, Rom became a character that debuted in Marvel in the eponymous American comic book ''Rom: Spaceknight'' (December 1979 – February 1986), by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema.
