Daniela Borruso-Sereftug (born 9 December 1959), better known by the stage name Daniela Simmons (sometimes written Simons), is a singer/songwriter/musician who represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 in Bergen Bergen (), historically Bjørgvin, is a city and municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestland county on the Western Norway, west coast of Norway. , its population is roughly 285,900. Eurovision Song Contest 1986
The Eurovision Song Contest 1986 was the 31st edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held in Bergen, Norway, following the country's victory at the with the song " La det swinge" by Bobbysocks! Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK), the contest was held at Grieghallen on 3 May 1986 and was hosted by previous Norwegian contestant Åse Kleveland. Twenty countries took part in this years contest with and deciding not to participate and and returning. also competed for the first time this year. The winner was with the song " J'aime la vie" by Sandra Kim. Belgium was the last of the original 7 countries that had competed in the very first contest to win. Aged 13, Kim was the youngest ever Eurovision winner. Current rules require Eurovision Song Contest participants to be at least 16, so unless the rule is changed, Kim's record will never be broken. Carol Rich
Carol Rich (born Anne-Lyse Caille, 15 February 1962, Villorsonnens, Fribourg) is a Swiss singer, best known for her participation in the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest. After studying classical singing at the Conservatoire de Fribourg, Rich turned towards popular music and in 1984 made her first appearance in the Swiss Eurovision Song Contest selection, where her song "Tokyo Boy" could only manage seventh place, but was moderately successful when released as a single. Rich returned in 1987, and this time was successful with " Moitié, moitié" ("Half and Half") being chosen as the Swiss entry for the 32nd Eurovision Song Contest, held on 9 April in Brussels. Although "Moitié, moitié" drew the coveted last spot in the performance order, the uptempo song did not prove memorable enough to win over the juries, finishing the evening in 17th place of the 22 entries. Switzerland was represented by Carol Rich, with the song "Moitié, moitié" at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 9 May. Before Eurovision Concours Eurovision 1987 Swiss Italian broadcaster RTSI was in charge of broadcasting the selection for the Swiss entry for the 1987 contest. The national final was held at the studios of RTSI in Lugano, hosted by Letizia Brunati. Nine songs were submitted for the 1987 national final and the winning song was chosen by three regional juries, a press jury, and an expert jury. Other participants included past and future Swiss representatives including Marc Dietrich (1971, 1976, 1979, 1981) and Furbaz (1989).
