Děčín main station ( Cz: ''Děčín hlavní nádraží'') is a railway station in the city of Děčín, in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. The station opened in 1850 and is located on the Děčín–Benešov nad Ploučnicí–Rumburk railway, Praha–Ústí nad Labem–Děčín railway, Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt railway and Děčín–Oldřichov u Duchcova railway. Ústí Nad Labem Region
Ústí nad Labem Region or Ústecký Region ( cs, Ústecký kraj, , ), is an administrative unit ( cs, kraj) of the Czech Republic, located in the north-western part of the historical land of Bohemia, and named after the capital, Ústí nad Labem. It covers the majority of the former North Bohemia province ( cs, Severočeský kraj) and is part of the broader area of North Bohemia. The region borders the regions of Liberec (east), Central Bohemia (south), Plzeň (southwest), Karlovy Vary (west) and the German region of Saxony to the north. Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt Railway
The Děčín–Dresden railway, also called the Elbe Valley Railway (German: ''Elbtalbahn'') is an electrified main line in Saxony and the Czech Republic. Formerly called the Saxon-Bohemian State Railway (''Sächsisch-Böhmische Staatseisenbahn''), the line is part of the Dresden to Prague route and is one of Europe's most important trunk routes (''Magistralen''). It runs along the Elbe Valley from Děčín via Bad Schandau and Pirna to Dresden. The first section of the line was opened in 1848 and is one of the oldest lines in Germany. Importance The Děčín–Dresden line is part of line 22 of the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T; Athens– Sofia– Budapest– Vienna– Prague– Nuremberg/Dresden) and received €11 million in 2000 to 2006 from the European Regional Development Fund. Správa železnic, státní organizace (English: Railway Administration, formerly the Správa železnic – SŽ) is the national railway infrastructure manager in the Czech Republic. Its main customers include passenger train operator České dráhy and its cargo subsidiary ČD Cargo.
