Drummurry (or Drummuray) is a townland in Magheracross civil parish, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The topography is undulating and slightly marshy. Magheracross
Magheracross is a townland and Civil parishes in Ireland, civil parish in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It extends in area from just north of Enniskillen to the border with County Tyrone and includes a small enclave in County Tyrone. The main town in the parish is Ballinamallard. Ballinamallard railway station operated from August 1854 to October 1957. By 1910 the population was recorded at 283. Religion About 450AD, the local parish was said to have been founded by St Patrick and about 550AD St Columba passed through the area. In the 7th century, Laisrén mac Nad Froích founded a community on nearby Devenish Island. Another monastery was built in the Middle Ages in the parish, and other establishments built at nearby Trory. In 1769 John Wesley visited the district bringing Methodism and nearby Coa Chapel was built in 1770. In the early 20th century, further religious movements swept the district. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council (; Ulster-Scots: ''Districk Cooncil o Fermanagh an Omey'') is a local authority in Northern Ireland and was established on 1 April 2015. It replaced Fermanagh District Council and Omagh District Council and covers most of the southwest of Northern Ireland. Its first election was on 22 May 2014, and it acted as a shadow authority prior to the creation of the Fermanagh and Omagh district in April 2015. County Fermanagh ( ; ) is one of the thirty-two counties of Ireland, one of the nine counties of Ulster and one of six counties of Northern Ireland. The county covers an area of and had a population of 63,585 as of 2021. Enniskillen is the county town and largest in both size and population. Fermanagh and South Tyrone is a Northern Ireland United Kingdom constituencies, parliamentary constituency in the British House of Commons. It is currently represented by Pat Cullen of Sinn Féin. Fermanagh And South Tyrone (Assembly Constituency)
Fermanagh and South Tyrone is a constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly. It was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election in 1973, which elected the then Northern Ireland Assembly. It usually shares boundaries with the Fermanagh and South Tyrone UK Parliament constituency. However, the boundaries of the two constituencies were slightly different from 1983 to 1986 (because the Assembly boundaries had not caught up with Parliamentary boundary changes) and from 1996 to 1997, when members of the Northern Ireland Forum had been elected from the newly drawn Parliamentary constituencies but the 51st Parliament of the United Kingdom, elected in 1992 under the 1983–95 constituency boundaries, was still in session. Ballinamallard
Ballinamallard or Bellanamallard (Flanagan, Deirdre & Laurence; ''Irish Place Names'', page 172. Gill & Macmillan, 2002. ) is a small village and townland in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It had a population of 1,364 people in the 2021 Census. It lies to the north of Enniskillen and is within Fermanagh and Omagh district. The village has won several "best kept village" titles, and has a fountain to mark the honour. There has been only one local primary school: Ballinamallard Controlled Primary School, since the other, Shanmullagh Primary School, closed in August 2008. As of 2016 NISRA estimate that 2,754 people live in the Ballinamallard Electoral Ward, which encompasses a larger area than the settlement.
