Drowning Pool (album)
''Drowning Pool'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Drowning Pool. It was released on April 27, 2010. It is the band's first album not to feature a different singer, as Ryan McCombs remained with Drowning Pool after their 2007 album '' Full Circle''. However, this album ended up being the last album to feature him, as he left the band in 2011 to rejoin his previous band SOiL. McCombs eventually rejoined Drowning Pool in 2023. The song " Feel Like I Do" was released as a digital single. It reflects a tough period in McCombs' life during which he went through a divorce, moved out of his home and lost his father. Fans who preordered the album received a download of the single as well as the second single "Turn So Cold" starting April 13, 2010. Drowning Pool
Drowning Pool is an American rock band formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1996. The band was named after the 1975 film '' The Drowning Pool''. Since its formation, the band has consisted of guitarist C.J. Pierce, drummer Mike Luce and bassist Stevie Benton, as well as a revolving cast of vocalists. After the release of their debut album, '' Sinner'' (2001), original vocalist Dave Williams was found dead on August 14, 2002, from heart disease. Jason Jones, who replaced Williams in 2003, recorded one album, '' Desensitized'' (2004), but left in 2005 due to musical differences. Ryan McCombs of band SOiL, later replaced Jones and released two albums, '' Full Circle'' (2007) and '' Drowning Pool'' (2010), making it the first time Drowning Pool had not switched singers after just one album. However, McCombs left the band in 2011 to rejoin SOiL. ''Full Circle'' is the third studio album by American rock band Drowning Pool, released on August 7, 2007, by Eleven Seven. It is the first Drowning Pool album to feature Ryan McCombs on vocals, formerly the singer of SOiL, who joined the band after the departure of Jason 'Gong' Jones in 2005. The first single off the album, "Soldiers", is dedicated to the United States Army. The album debuted at number 64 on the United States ''Billboard'' 200, selling about 10,000 copies in its first week. As of September 12, 2007, the album has sold around 29,000 copies in the United States. Four singles were released to promote the album. The final single "Shame" was released June 29, 2009 almost two years after the album's release. The album was moderately commercially successful, and received mainly positive reviews by fans. Ryan McCombs
Ryan McCombs (born July 16, 1974) is an American musician best known for being the vocalist of alternative metal bands Soil and Drowning Pool. Career Soil (1997–2004, 2011–present) McCombs was discovered by Soil through a compilation CD of unsigned bands. He joined the band as lead vocalist in mid-1997. Soil released three albums ('' Throttle Junkies'', '' Scars'' and '' Redefine)'' and two EPs ( ''Soil'' and ''El Chupacabra'') during his time in the group. With heavy anthems like "Halo" and "Unreal", the band gained commercial recognition and international status with their second album, ''Scars'', in 2001. Their 2004 follow-up would continue Soil's significant exposure.
