''Draw the Line'' is the eighth studio album by English singer-songwriter David Gray, released on 14 September 2009 in Europe and 22 September in the United States. The first single "Fugitive" was released on 7 September 2009. The second single, a duet with Annie Lennox, "Full Steam", released on 28 December 2009. Album information Gray recorded the album, his first set of new songs since 2005's '' Life in Slow Motion'', in his own studio—The Church Studios—while unsigned to a record label. The studio previously belonged to the Eurythmics, and when Gray invited Annie Lennox to guest-record the duet " Full Steam," she reprimanded him for not changing the carpets. David Gray (British Musician)
David Peter Gray (born 13 June 1968) is a British singer-songwriter. Having released his debut album in 1993, he received worldwide attention with '' White Ladder'' five years later, particularly for the hit single "Babylon". ''White Ladder'' was the first of three chart-toppers in six years for Gray in the UK, where it became the fifth best-selling album of the 2000s. In 2019, it was ranked as the UK's tenth best-selling album of the 21st century. Annie Lennox
Ann Lennox (born 25 December 1954) is a Scottish singer-songwriter, political activist and philanthropist. After achieving moderate success in the late 1970s as part of the new wave band the Tourists, she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to achieve international success in the 1980s as Eurythmics. The Independent Albums chart (previously titled Top Independent Albums) ranks the highest-selling independent music albums and extended plays (EPs) in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. It is used to list artists who are not signed to major labels. The Official Albums Chart is the United Kingdom's industry-recognised national record chart for albums. Entries are ranked by sales and audio streaming. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on '' UKChartsPlus'' as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. The Roundhouse
The Roundhouse is a performing arts and concert venue at the Grade II* listed former railway engine shed in Chalk Farm, London, England. The building was erected in 1846–1847 by the London & North Western Railway as a roundhouse, a circular building containing a railway turntable, but was used for that purpose for only about a decade. After being used as a warehouse for a number of years, the building fell into disuse just before World War II. It was first made a listed building in 1954. It reopened after 25 years, in 1964, as a performing arts venue, when the playwright Arnold Wesker established the Centre 42 Theatre Company and adapted the building as a theatre. Kirsty Anna MacColl (, ; 10 October 1959 – 18 December 2000) was a British singer and songwriter.
