A draw, sometimes known as a re-entrant in orienteering, is a terrain feature formed by two parallel ridges or Spur (mountain), spurs with low ground in between them. The long area of downward sloping low ground itself is the draw, and it is defined by the spurs surrounding it. Characteristics Draws are usually etched in a hill, hillside by water flow, are usually dry, but many contain an ephemeral stream or loose rocks from eroded rockfall. In a draw the ground always slopes downward in only one direction, and upward in the other three. The slope on a draw is generally quite sharp, with a clearly established Fall line (topography), fall line and characterized by a generally steep vertical drop over a short horizontal distance. There is essentially no level ground and little or no maneuver room within the draw. On a topographical map, the contour lines depicting a draw are U-shaped or V-shaped, pointing toward high ground. A draw can be conceptually thought of as the inverse ...

Hanged, Drawn And Quartered
To be hanged, drawn and quartered was a method of torture, torturous capital punishment used principally to execute men convicted of High treason in the United Kingdom, high treason in medieval and early modern Britain and Ireland. The convicted traitor was fastened by the feet to a hurdle, or wooden panel, and drawn behind a horse to the place of execution, where he was then hanged (almost to the point of death), emasculation, emasculated, disembowelment, disembowelled, decapitation, beheaded, and Dismemberment, quartered. Drawing (manufacturing)
Drawing is a manufacturing process that uses tensile forces to elongate metal, glass, or plastic. As the material is drawn (pulled), it stretches and becomes thinner, achieving a desired shape and thickness. Drawing is classified into two types: sheet metal drawing and wire, bar, and tube drawing. Sheet metal drawing is defined as a plastic deformation over a curved axis. For wire, bar, and tube drawing, the starting stock is drawn through a die to reduce its diameter and increase its length. Drawing is usually performed at room temperature, thus classified as a cold working process; however, drawing may also be performed at higher temperatures to hot work large wires, rods, or hollow tubes in order to reduce forces.Degarmo, p. 432.Kalpakjian, pp. 415–419. Drawing differs from rolling in that pressure is not applied by the turning action of a mill but instead depends on force applied locally near the area of compression. This means the maximal drawing force is limited ...

Face-off
A face-off is the method used to begin and restart play after goals in some sports using sticks, primarily ice hockey, bandy, floorball, broomball, rinkball, and lacrosse. During a face-off, two teams line up in opposition to each other, and the opposing players attempt to gain control of the hockey puck, puck or ball after it is dropped or otherwise placed between their sticks by an official (ice hockey), official. Ice hockey Hockey face-offs (also called 'bully', and originally called 'puck-offs') are generally handled by centre (ice hockey), centres, but are sometimes handled by wingers, and, rarely, by defensemen. One of the referees drops the puck at centre ice to start each period and following the scoring of a goal. The linesmen are responsible for all other face-offs. One player from each team stands at the face-off spot (see below) to await the drop of the puck. All teammates must be lateral to or behind the player taking the face-off. Generally, the goal of the player ...
