Yoon Do-woon (; born August 25, 1995), known mononymously as Dowoon, is a South Korean musician, best known as the drummer and vocalist of the pop rock band Day6. Early life Yoon Dowoon was born on August 25, 1995, in Seoul, South Korea. He has an older sister. He attended Busan Arts College. Career Yoon was one of the fastest debut trainees in JYP Entertainment. He only went through 3-month trainee life before debuting. On September 7, 2015, Yoon debuted as one of the members of Day6. The group released their debut Extended play, EP, ''The Day (Day6 EP), The Day'', with the lead single "Congratulations". On March 14, 2018, he made his Japanese debut as a member of Day6 with their Japanese single "If (Mata Aetara), If ~また逢えたら~". On August 31, 2020, Yoon alongside Young K and Wonpil debuted as Day6 (Even of Day), Even of Day, a sub-unit of Day6, and released their debut EP The Book of Us: Gluon. Day6 (; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean pop rock band under the label JYP Entertainment. The group debuted on September 7, 2015, with the EP '' The Day,'' which peaked at No.2 on '' Billboard''s World Album Chart a week following its release. The band consists of four members: Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon. Originally a six-member band, Junhyeok departed on February 27, 2016, and Jae departed on December 31, 2021. All of the Day6 members are heavily involved in writing, composing, and producing the band's music. In 2017, the band released two songs every month of the year for their ''Every Day6'' project. By the end of the project, 25 songs were added to their discography. With genres ranging from hard rock and upbeat sing-a-longs to mellow ballads. ''Unlock'' (stylized as ''UNLOCK'') is the debut Japanese studio album by South Korean band Day6, which was released on October 17, 2018. The album features 10 tracks, including the singles '' If -Mata Aetara-'' and ''Stop The Rain''. The album peaked at number 21 on Oricon Charts. Background and release In January 2018, it was revealed that Day6 would make their Japanese debut with the release of the single " If -Mata Aetara-" on March 14. They released their second Japanese single album ''Stop the Rain'', produced by Shinichi Ubukata, on July 25. ''Breaking Down'' was released along with a music video in September (one month prior the release of the album) as a promotional track. Wonpil
Kim Won-pil (; born April 28, 1994), known mononymously as Wonpil, is a South Korean musician. He is the keyboardist of pop rock band Day6 and its sub unit Even of Day under JYP Entertainment. His debut album '' Pilmography'' debuted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart in February 2022. Early life Wonpil was born in Incheon, South Korea. His parents run a piano academy so he was familiar with piano since a young age, and he learned how to play it by himself. Career After signing with JYP Entertainment, Wonpil was part of JYP trainees' dance team with Young K, but was later chosen to be part of the company's first band, and, together with Jae, Young K, Sungjin and Junhyeok, he formed the acoustic ensemble 5LIVE. Kang Young-hyun (; born December 19, 1993), known professionally as Young K, is a South Korean musician, singer, songwriter, and rapper. He is best known as the bassist and vocalist of South Korean pop rock band Day6. Early life Kang Younghyun was born on December 19, 1993, in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea as an only child. He was raised in Ilsan, South Korea and moved to Toronto, Canada, to attend middle and high school at York Mills Collegiate Institute. Since sixth grade, he has not lived with his parents.
