Dormagen (; Ripuarian: ''Dormaje'') is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. Geography Dormagen is situated between Düsseldorf – Cologne – Mönchengladbach on the western bank of the river Rhine. Dormagen station is a station in the town of Dormagen in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia on the Sülztalbahn. It is served by the hourly Rhein-Münsterland-Express (RE 7) Rheine to Krefeld. The hourly journeys from Cologne Bonn Airport to Minden (Westf) (RE 6) Rhein-Ruhr Express. The S-Bahn line S 11 runs every 20 minutes from Düsseldorf Airport Terminal to Bergisch Gladbach. Dormagen Chempark Station
Dormagen Chempark station is a station in the town of Dormagen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. ''Chemiepark Dormagen'' is the location of a large Bayer works. The station is on the Lower Left Rhine Railway and it is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station. The station was opened briefly during World War I as ''Hackenbroich''. It was reopened in 1948 and was renamed ''Dormagen Bayerwerk'' between 1954 and 1957. It was renamed ''Dormagen Chempark'' on 15 December 2013. Lower Left Rhine Railway
The Left Lower Rhine line () is a main line on the left (western) bank of the Rhine in the lower Rhine region of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, running from Cologne to Cleves (Kleve) and formerly via Kranenburg to Nijmegen in the Netherlands. The Cologne–Krefeld section of the line was opened by the ''Cöln-Crefeld Railway Company'' in 1855 and is one of the oldest lines in Germany. The 55 km-long section from Cologne via Neuss to Krefeld is electrified and continuously multi-track. Sarah Voss
Sarah Voss (born 21 October 1999) is a German artistic gymnast. She represented Germany at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics. She is the 2019 and 2022 German all-around national champion. She was part of the bronze medal-winning German team at the 2022 European Championships. Personal life Voss was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 1999. Lothar Hensel (born 14 September 1961) is a German bandoneon player, composer and arrangeur. Life and career Born in Dormagen, studied school Music at the Berlin University of the Arts, majoring in clarinet. During his studies, he began playing the bandoneon. In 1990, he went to Buenos Aires to perfect his playing with teachers Arturo Penón and Nestor Marconi. In Paris, he also had lessons with Juan José Mosalini, one of the most famous tango soloists of tango nuevo. As a bandoneonist, Hensel has worked with renowned orchestras, such as the Berlin Philharmonic and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, and renowned soloists, such as guitarist Quique Sinesi. Bundesautobahn 57
is a German Autobahn that begins at the Dutch-German border near Goch and ends in Köln. It runs parallel to the Rhine River. Neuss and Krefeld are the biggest cities on this motorway. The A 57 is a continuation of the Dutch A77. Because of its high economic importance, its nickname is "Trans-Niederrhein-Magistrale". Most of it is two lanes each way and prone to traffic jams during rush hour. Currently, sections 15–18, 19–24, and 29–30 have three lanes each way. The section from junction 28 to 29 southbound has the possibility to open the hard shoulder as a third lane in heavy traffic. Traffic jams are possible between junctions 10 and 15, 17 and 20, as well as around junctions 27 and 28. There is a variable speed limit between junctions 10 and 23.
