Domingo Prat
Domingo Prat (17 March 1886 – 22 November 1944) was an Argentine guitarist, composer, and music educator of Spanish origin, considered one of the most important guitarists in Buenos Aires in the early 20th century. Life Born in Barcelona, Spain, Prat was the son of amateur guitarist Tomás Prat Puig. He received his initial musical training at the Municipal School of Music in Barcelona. He studied guitar with Miguel Llobet and Francisco Tárrega from 1898 to 1904. In 1904, he moved to Argentina and established himself as a guitar teacher in Buenos Aires in 1907. There, he spread the Tárrega school. Domingo Prat married guitarist Carmen Farré Ors, daughter of León Farré Duro, who worked with him, in 1909. In 1934, he published the ''Diccionario de Guitarristas'' (''Dictionary of Guitarists'') in a limited-edition of 1605 copies, which is still used today as a reference work. Haedo is a city located in Morón Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It forms part of the urban conurbation of Greater Buenos Aires. With a surface of 6.11 km², it had 38,068 inhabitants as of 2001, down 13% from the 1991 census. Miguel Llobet
Miguel Llobet Solés (18 October 187822 February 1938) was a classical guitarist, born in Barcelona, Spain. Llobet was a renowned virtuoso who toured Europe and Americas, America extensively. He made well known arrangements of Catalan folk songs for the solo guitar, made famous arrangements for the guitar of the piano compositions of Isaac Albéniz, arrangements immortalized by Andrés Segovia, and was also the composer of original works. Biography Some details of Llobet's biography are confused and contradictory. Francisco de Asís Tárrega y Eixea (21 November 185215 December 1909) was a Spanish composer and classical guitarist of the late Romantic period. He is known for such pieces as '' Capricho Árabe'' and '' Recuerdos de la Alhambra''. Biography Tárrega was born on 21 November 1852, in Villarreal, Province of Castellón, Spain. It is said that Francisco's father played flamenco and several other music styles on his guitar; when his father was away working as a watchman at the Convent of San Pascual, Francisco would take his father's guitar and attempt to make the beautiful sounds he had heard. Francisco's nickname as a child was "Quiquet". As a child, he ran away from his nanny and fell into an irrigation channel and injured his eyes. María Luisa Anido
María Luisa Anido (Isabel María Luisa Anido González) (26 January 1907 – 4 June 1996) was an Argentine classical guitarist and composer. Biography She was born 26 January 1907 in Morón, in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was the fourth daughter of Juan Carlos Anido and Betilda González Rigaud. Her family moved to Buenos Aires when she was very young. She studied with Domingo Prat in Argentina and Miguel Llobet in Spain. From 1925, she frequently performed in Argentina together with Llobet. Her first London appearance was in 1952 at the Wigmore Hall, and she spent several years in the 1960s performing and teaching in Russia. later she became professor at the conservatory of Buenos Aires.
