Dolton Records
Dolton Records was a record label based in Seattle that was originally known as Dolphin Records. It was initially owned by Bob Reisdorff and Bonnie Guitar. Success for the label came early with " Come Softly to Me" by the Fleetwoods, the first single to be released on that label. Reisdorf was soon informed that there was another Dolphin Records in circulation (which was a subsidiary of Laurie Records), so he changed the name to Dolton after the first release, the second release being an instrumental by the Frantics called "Straight Flush" b/w "Young Blues" (Dolton 2). The new label retained the fish symbols on the logo and the fonts associated with the Dolphin name. The first major hit on the newer Dolton label was the Fleetwood's " Mr. Blue", a number one hit, and the fifth single released by that company. Jerden Records
Jerden Records was an independent record label which operated from May 1960 through April 1971. It was based in Seattle and majority owned by Jerry Dennon and Bonnie Guitar, both of whom had been involved with Dolton Records and the careers of The Fleetwoods on that label. A split with Dolton over artistic control brought about the new Jerden label. Certain Jerden record issues were distributed by Liberty Records. The label closed after the first year and its owners went their separate ways. Both ended up in Hollywood, Guitar as an artist for RCA Victor Records and then Dot Records and Dennon doing promotion work for Era Records. Dennon's career was halted by military service, but in late 1962 he resurrected Jerden as full owner. He reissued recordings from Jerden's early days, including a disc by Bonnie Guitar issued in January 1963. EMI Records (formerly EMI Records Ltd.) is a British multinational record label owned by Universal Music Group. It was originally founded as a British flagship label by the music company EMI in 1972, and launched in January 1973 as the successor to its Columbia Graphophone Company, Columbia and Parlophone record labels. United Artists Records was an American record label founded by Max E. Youngstein of United Artists in 1957 to issue movie soundtracks. The label expanded into other genres, such as easy listening, jazz, pop, and R&B. ''The Wild Angels'' is a 1966 American independent outlaw biker film produced and directed by Roger Corman. Made on location in Southern California, ''The Wild Angels'' was the first film to associate actor Peter Fonda with Harley-Davidson motorcycles and 1960s counterculture. It inspired the biker film genre that continued into the early 1970s.
