Dodda Ganesh
Dodda Narasiah Ganesh (; born 30 June 1973) is a former Indian cricketer who played in 4 Tests and one ODI in 1997. He was a right-arm seam bowler and lower-order batsman. Ganesh failed to make an impression in his limited Test opportunities, picking up just five wickets at an average of 57.40. In first-class cricket, he took 365 wickets from 104 matches, including 299 at 27.09 for his domestic team Karnataka. Early career Dodda Ganesh started as a wicket-keeper and an opening batsman. His idols while growing up were K. N. Ananthapadmanabhan, the Kerala wicket-keeper, and India's World Cup-winning wicket-keeper Syed Kirmani. Dodda Krishnaraja I
Krishnaraja Wodeyar I (18 March 1702 – 5 March 1732) was the sixteenth maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore. His reign lasted for 18 years, from 1714 to 1732. Personal life Dodda Krishnaraja was born on 18 March 1702. He was the first-born son of Kanthirava Narasaraja II, by his second wife Maharani Chelvaja Ammani Devi. A month before his tenth birthday—upon his father's death—he acceded to the throne of Mysore. Although he was married nine times, direct descents in the Wodeyar lineage stopped with him; a son was born to his first wife, but died aged six months. Dodda Krishnaraja died on 5 March 1732 at the age of 29, and was succeeded by his relative's son, Chamaraja Wodeyar VII. Dodda Kempadevaraja
Devaraja Wodeyar I (25 May 1627 – 1673) was the thirteenth maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1659 until 1673. Early years Devaraja Wodeyar I was born on 25 May 1627, the fourth son of Prince Devarajendra Wodeyar, by his second wife, Kempamamba Ammani Avaru. He was imprisoned along with his father at Hengul Fort in 1638, the year of incumbency of his cousin Kanthirava Narasaraja I. He was adopted and appointed heir apparent, with title ''Yuvaraja'' on 28 July 1659. He succeeded his cousin on the latter's death on 31 July 1659, and was installed on the Mysore throne on 19 August 1659. Rule During his rule, the last of the Vijayanagara rulers, Sriranga III, sought refuge in Bednur in Seringapatam. Dodda Vira Rajendra
Dodda Vira Rajendra was the ruler of the Kingdom of Coorg from 1780 to 1809. He freed the kingdom from the occupation of Tipu Sultan, the king of Mysore. He later aided the British in their fight against Tipu Sultan. Dodda Veera raja constructed the city of Vira-rajendrapete, today known as Virajapet. Early life and exile Not much is known of Dodda Vira Rajendra's childhood. In 1780, Linga Raja, his father and ruler of the Coorg Kingdom died while Dodda Vira Rajendra was still young. Hyder Ali, the king of Mysore saw this as an opportunity and took possession of the Coorg Kingdom until, as he said "the princes (Dodda Vira Rajendra and his brother) would come of age". In September 1782, the princes were deported to Garuru. Enraged at the deportation of their princes, the Coorgs revolted and proclaimed independence.
