Dinosaurs! – A Fun-Filled Trip Back In Time!
''Dinosaur'' is an animated short film directed and produced by Will Vinton. In 1987, the film was extended and released on video under the title ''Dinosaurs!''. The new footage stars Fred Savage playing a grade school student named Philip who gives a class report on dinosaurs, with the help of an animated chalkboard and Will Vinton's claymation dinosaurs. Background Originally created in 1980, when it was known more simply as ''Dinosaur'', the 17-minute claymation short by Vinton Productions would later be used for this 1987 video. The popular short is also played at the Smithsonian Museum and has won numerous awards. This film is also played BOB's request in Rocky Hill, Connecticut at the museum in Dinosaur State Park. It is also played at the Pacific Science Center (in Seattle, Washington) in the ''Dinosaurs A Journey Through Time'' exhibit, but cuts out the first two parts and narrows it down to the claymation dinosaur story. Will Vinton
William Gale Vinton (November 17, 1947 – October 4, 2018) was an American animator and filmmaker. Vinton was best known for his Claymation work, alongside creating iconic characters such as The California Raisins. He won an Academy Awards, Oscar for his work alongside several Emmy Awards and Clio Awards for his studio's work. Life and education Vinton was born on November 17, 1947, to a car dealer father and a bookkeeper mother in McMinnville, Oregon. His paternal grandfather, William T. Vinton, was a well known state senator in Oregon, representing Portland. During the 1960s, Vinton studied physics, architecture and filmmaking at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was influenced by the work of Antoni Gaudí. During this time, Vinton made a feature-length documentary film about the California counter-culture movement titled ''Gone for a Better Deal'', which toured college campuses in various film festivals of the time. Cretaceous–Paleogene Extinction Event
The Cretaceous–Paleogene (K–Pg) extinction event, also known as the K–T extinction, was the extinction event, mass extinction of three-quarters of the plant and animal species on Earth approximately 66 million years ago. ''Wallace & Gromit'' is a British claymation comedy franchise created by Nick Park and produced by Aardman Animations. The series centres on Wallace, a good-natured, eccentric, cheese-loving bachelor inventor, and Gromit, his loyal and intelligent anthropomorphic dog.
