Digvijay Singh (golfer)
Digvijay Singh (born 30 January 1972) is a professional golfer from India currently playing on the Professional Golf Tour of India and the Asian Tour. Singh was born in New Delhi to an Indian Army officer (Col Niranjan Singh). He had a solid amateur campaign, winning the Sri Lankan Amateur Championship in 1996 and 1997. He represented India in the Eisenhower Trophy in 1996 and 1998, and in the Nomura Cup in 1995 and 1997. He also played in the Asian Games in Bangkok in 1998. He turned professional in 1999. Professional career Singh currently holds 12 career wins on the PGTI, where he has had most of his success. He played his first full season on the Asian Tour in 2008 after 8 previous attempts to obtain his card. He enjoyed a 4th-place finish in his debut event in 2008 at the Indian Masters. The 2003 WGC-World Cup took place November 13–16 at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, U.S. It was the 49th World Cup and the fourth as a World Golf Championship event. 24 countries competed and each country sent two players. The World Cup of Golf is a men's golf tournament contested by teams of two representing their country. Only one team is allowed from each country. The players are selected on the basis of the Official World Golf Ranking, although not all of the first choice players choose to compete. The 1998 Eisenhower Trophy took place 19 to 22 November at Club de Golf Los Leones and Club de Golf La Dehesa in Santiago, Chile. It was the 21st World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 52 four-man teams. Mohammad Siddikur Rahman ( bn, মোহাম্মদ সিদ্দিকুর রহমান) (born 20 November 1984) is a Bangladeshi professional golfer who plays on the Asian Tour. As an amateur, Siddikur won twelve events in Asia, winning five times in Bangladesh, two in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal and one in India.
