''Digital Lies'' is the fourth full-length album by the Australian heavy metal band Lord. It was released in Australia on February 22, 2013, by the band's own label Dominus. This was the only Lord album with Damian Costas on drums. After replacing Tim Yatras in 2009, he departed in 2014. Lord (sometimes stylized as LORD) is a heavy metal band from Wollongong, Australia. The group began as a solo project for "Lord Tim" Grose of Dungeon in 2003 and expanded into a complete band when Dungeon broke up in 2005. LORD has appeared with major acts that include Queensrÿche, Nightwish, Nevermore, Saxon and Gamma Ray. The band's name is usually stylised in all capital letters. History Between 1988 and 2000, Dungeon singer/guitarist and founding member "Lord Tim" Grose had collected a number of compositions he felt were either too personal to submit to the band or inappropriate for its style. In 2003, he collected these songs on an album called '' A Personal Journey'' that was issued under the name LORD. Wollongong ( ), colloquially referred to as The Gong, is a city located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within symphonic context. Generally, power metal is characterized by a faster, lighter, and more uplifting sound, in contrast with the heaviness and dissonance prevalent, for example, in extreme metal. Lord Tim
Lord Tim (born 1970) is the professional name of Australian musician Tim Ian Grose. Based in Wollongong, New South Wales, he is best known as the founder of the heavy metal band Dungeon. The band started in 1989, released several albums, and was considered one of the leading metal bands in Australia. When the band broke up in 2005 after an international tour with Megadeth, Lord Tim continued its legacy with another band he had created, LORD, for which he is singer, guitarist and principal songwriter. Biography Born in Broken Hill on 2 April 1970, he started singing along with Duran Duran and Pseudo Echo as a teenager, though considered himself too shy to perform on stage. Return Of The Tyrant
''Return of the Tyrant'' is the second EP release by Australian heavy metal band Lord. The title track is an almost ten-minute sequel to the song "Tarranno del Mar", which appeared on the Dungeon album '' One Step Beyond''. Despite being over an hour in length, the band marketed this release as an EP. The release also features both an orchestral and radio edit of "Return of the Tyrant", plus versions of "Of Sins and Shadows" by Symphony X and "(I Just) Died in Your Arms" by Cutting Crew. There are also acoustic versions of songs from the Lord albums '' Ascendence'' and '' Set in Stone'' and of the Dungeon songs "Against the Wind" and "Paradise". The original project was intended as two separate EPs, one featuring just the acoustic songs and another with the new track and covers, but eventually all the songs were released together. ''Fallen Idols'' is the fifth full-length album by the Australian heavy metal band Lord. Their first album in six years, it was released in Australia in August 2019, by the band's own label Dominus. Drummer Tim Yatras returns as a session member for this album. The Colombian artist Felipe Machado Franco designed the art, as he had done for the previous two Lord albums. The album's first single and music video "United (Welcome Back)" was released in February 2019. ''Fallen Idols'' hit the Australian Artist Album Charts at #20. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Tim Yatras
Tim Yatras is an Australian musician, composer and producer, best known as one half of the now defunct black metal duo Austere, and the creator of the black metal/rock/trance act Germ. Biography Yatras was a member of Lord, and prior to that was also a part of Dungeon from February 2005 until their breakup, and appears on the 2006 release, '' The Final Chapter'', performing drums and backing vocals, and co-writing most of the tracks. He is also a session musician on the studio-based Newcastle band Ilium's albums, ''Vespertilion'', and ''Ageless Decay''. He toured as a member of Nazxul in 2004, and later performed Drums and Keyboards on the band's album, Iconoclast, in 2008.
