"Did Ya" is a song by the English rock band the Kinks, appearing on the EP of the same name, as well as some editions of ''Phobia''. Release "Did Ya" first saw release on 24 October 1991 in numerous different formats (all of which were the first that the Kinks released on Columbia Records). In the US, the song was the title track of a five-song EP. This five track EP was instead made into a CD maxi-single in Europe. Instead of this five song lineup, however, the song was released as a single in the Netherlands, backed with a rerecording of The Kinks' 1968 hit, "Days A day is the time period of a full rotation of the Earth with respect to the Sun. ''Phobia'' is the twenty-fourth and final studio album by the English rock group the Kinks, released in 1993. It is also the only studio album credited to the Kinks which does not feature drummer Mick Avory in any capacity; though he left the band in 1984, he still played on individual songs on both ''Think Visual'' and ''UK Jive''. The album was produced by Ray Davies himself as R. Douglas Davies. Ray Davies has since expressed displeasure with the album, commenting, "I hated ''Phobia'', the album we did for Sony, because now I see the tempo of all the songs was wrong." "Days" is a song by the English rock band the Kinks, written by Ray Davies. It was released as a non-album single in June1968. It also appeared on an early version of the album ''The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society'' (released only in continental Europe and New Zealand). It now appears as a bonus track of the remastered CD. On the original Pye 7N 17573 label, the name of the song is "Day's" owing to a grammatical error. David Russell Gordon Davies ( '; born 3 February 1947) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter. He was the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for the English rock band the Kinks, led by his older brother (and principal writer and singer) Ray, and the both of them were the only consistent members during their existence. Davies also sometimes undertook writing and/or lead vocals duties within the band, for example on songs such as " Death of a Clown", " Party Line", "Strangers" and "Rats".
