Derek "D#" Sharp is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, engineer, and vocalist. He is best known as the lead singer and frontman of the Jim Kale-managed incarnation of The Guess Who from 2008 to 2024. Career Early career and collaborations Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, Sharp has worked with a wide range of musicians, including Jeff Healey, Alannah Myles, Red Rider, Styx, Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Alex Ligertwood (Santana), and Ellis Hall. He served as the musical director and producer for the ''Canadian Idol'' winner tours, featuring artists such as Kalan Porter, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Melissa O’Neil. Sharp has also performed and recorded with Canadian Music Hall of Fame legends Andy Kim and Bobby Curtola. Collaborations with Sass Jordan Sharp has had a longstanding musical partnership with his wife, Canadian rock vocalist Sass Jordan, whom he first met in 1995. Jim Kale
Michael James Kale (born August 11, 1943) is a Canadian rock musician, best known as the original bassist for the rock band The Guess Who. He was also a member of the band Scrubbaloe Caine. In 1987, he was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame as a member of The Guess Who. Career Michael James "Jim" Kale was born in Winnipeg. He described his father, who died in 1967 while the Guess Who were on tour in the UK, as abusive and an alcoholic. Kale joined the local Winnipeg band Chad Allan and the Reflections in 1962; that band later spun off into The Guess Who. Randolph Charles Bachman ( ; born September 27, 1943) is a Canadian guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was a founding member of the bands The Guess Who and Bachman–Turner Overdrive. Burton Lorne Cummings (born December 31, 1947) is a Canadian musician and songwriter. He is best known for leading the Guess Who during that band's most successful period from 1965 to 1975, and for a lengthy solo career. Robert Allen Curtola, CM (April 17, 1943 – June 4, 2016) was a Canadian rock and roll singer and teen idol. History Curtola was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, Canada. He began performing at age 15 with a band called Bobby and the Bobcats, singing at high school assemblies. Over the subsequent years, the singer had many songs on the Canadian music charts beginning with "Hand in Hand With You" in 1960.
