Blutengel
Blutengel (german: Blood Angel) (stylized as BlutEngel) is a German electronic music group formed by singer Chris Pohl (also of the groups Terminal Choice, Tumor, and Miss Construction and the owner of the Fear Section label) after he had to leave Seelenkrank due to contractual and legal problems. The lyrics are written primarily in German and English and are presented with male and female vocals. The themes of the songs usually centre around themes common in Gothic fiction such as love, vampirism, sexual fetishism, death, and immortality. The band calls their musical style ''dark pop''. History Formation and early years (1998–2001) Blutengel was formed in 1998 after Chris Pohl had decided to give up the preceding project, Seelenkrank (which had released two albums), due to contractual problems. "Stay" is a song by UK-based pop act Shakespears Sister, released by London Records in January 1992 as the second single from their second album, ''Hormonally Yours'' (1992). The single was written by Siobhan Fahey, Marcella Detroit, and Dave Stewart (under the pseudonym "Jean Guiot"), and became a massive hit. It is the duo's first and only number-one single in numerous territories, including the UK, where it topped the UK Singles Chart for eight consecutive weeks and was the fourth-biggest-selling single of 1992. Shakespears Sister
Shakespears Sister is an alternative pop and rock musical duo based in the United Kingdom that was formed in 1988 by singer-songwriter Siobhan Fahey, a former member of Bananarama. Shakespears Sister was initially a solo act, but became a duo by 1989 with the addition of American musician Marcella Detroit. Together they released two top 10 albums and a string of top 40 hits, including the 1992 hit " Stay" which peaked at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart for eight consecutive weeks. Detroit was sacked from the band in 1993, leaving Fahey as the sole member again until she ended the project in 1996. Eva Pölzing
Eva Pölzing or Poelzing is a German singer who is best known as the former female vocalist for Blutengel. Music career Pölzing joined that band early 2002 to replace Gini Martin and stayed the better part of 3 almost 4 years. Her first release with Blutengel was ''Angel Dust''. She sang on three tracks; "Angel of the Night", "Wonderland" and "Keine Ewigkeit" (with Constance Rudert and Chris Pohl).
