Demarcus Holland
Demarcus Dejuan Holland (born March 2, 1994) is an American basketball player. He played four seasons of college basketball with the Texas Longhorns. A 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m) tall shooting guard, he was a Big 12 All-Defensive Team selection in 2014. Following his college career, Holland turned professional and played in the NBA G League, as well as in Italy, Germany, Finland and Mozambique, among others. 2021 CEBL Season
The 2021 CEBL season was the third season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). It began on June 24, 2021. The CEBL planned to have fans at the home arenas, depending on the situation of the pandemic but would have had regional bubbles if needed. On June 10, 2021, the league announced that teams would be playing at their home arenas, but fans are still dependant on the provincial governments. On June 21, 2021, the league announced the playoffs would start on August 14, where four teams will play for two spots in the Championship Weekend. The final two spots will be filled in by the top team in the league and by the host team, Edmonton Stingers. The Championship Weekend will be held from August 18 to 22. Starting July 21, all seven teams were allowed to bring some amount of fans (either full capacity or limited) to the home games. Canadian Elite Basketball League
The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) is a men's professional minor league basketball organization. The CEBL was founded in 2017 and began play in 2019 with six teams competing all owned and operated by ownership group Canadian Basketball Ventures. The league currently consists of ten teams from six different provinces, with four being from Ontario, two from Alberta and one each from the provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Quebec, making the CEBL the largest professional sports league based entirely in Canada. Basketball Africa League
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) is Africa's premier men's basketball league. The league consists of twelve teams, each qualified through their domestic competition, similar to the format of the UEFA Champions League. The league is a joint effort between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and International Basketball Federation (FIBA) with sponsorship from Nike, Air Jordan and Pepsi. Its inaugural season started with the qualifying rounds in October 2019 and the regular season in May 2021. The competition replaces FIBA's Africa Basketball League as the continent's top-tier league. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a " Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. The Texas Legends are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G League based in Frisco, Texas, and are affiliated with the Dallas Mavericks. The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The top six teams advances continues to upper stage and the bottom six teams plays lower stage after 22 games, 5 games at home and 5 games at away versus all other teams in stage.
