Dehenna Davison
Dehenna Sheridan Davison (; born 27 July 1993) is a British former Conservative Party politician and broadcaster. She served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bishop Auckland from 2019 to 2024. She served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Levelling Up between September 2022 and September 2023. Born to a stonemason and nursery nurse in Sheffield, Davison grew up on a council estate, and attended Sheffield High School on a scholarship. She studied British Politics and Legislative Studies at the University of Hull, where she was an NUS delegate, and successfully led a campaign to disaffiliate the university's student union in 2016. Davison was elected as MP for Bishop Auckland in the 2019 general election. She was the Conservative candidate for Kingston upon Hull North and Sedgefield in the 2015 and 2017 general elections respectively. The 2024 United Kingdom general election was held on Thursday, 4 July 2024 to elect all 650 members of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, House of Commons. Lacrosse
Lacrosse is a contact team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. It is the oldest organized sport in North America, with its origins with the indigenous people of North America as early as the 12th century. The game was extensively modified by European colonists, reducing the violence, to create its current collegiate and professional form. Players use the head of the lacrosse stick to carry, pass, catch, and shoot the ball into the goal. The sport has five versions that have different sticks, fields, rules and equipment: field lacrosse, women's lacrosse, box lacrosse, lacrosse sixes and intercrosse. The men's games, field lacrosse (outdoor) and box lacrosse (indoor), are contact sports and all players wear protective gear: helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, and elbow pads. North East Somerset was a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament from 2010 to 2024. The red wall is a term used in British politics to describe the UK Parliament constituencies in the Midlands and Northern England that have historically supported the Labour Party. The term was coined by pollster James Kanagasooriam. At the 2019 general election, many of these parliamentary seats were won by the Conservative Party, with the media describing the red wall as having "turned blue". At the 2021 Hartlepool by-election, the Conservatives won for the first time in decades in another red wall seat.
