Deep Blue Sea 2
''Deep Blue Sea 2'' is a 2018 American science fiction film, science fiction horror film directed by Darin Scott. It is a stand-alone sequel to the 1999 film ''Deep Blue Sea (1999 film), Deep Blue Sea'' and the second installment of the Deep Blue Sea (film series), Deep Blue Sea film series, and stars Danielle Savre, Michael Beach, and Rob Mayes. In the film, a shark conservationist is hired to consult on a top-secret project involving genetically enhanced bull sharks funded by a pharmaceutical billionaire. However, the highly intelligent super-sharks turn on their masters and begin to pick them off one by one. The film was released direct-to-video on April 17, 2018. The bull shark (''Carcharhinus leucas''), also known as the Zambezi shark (informally zambi) in Africa and Lake Nicaragua shark in Nicaragua, is a species of requiem shark commonly found worldwide in warm, shallow waters along coasts and in rivers. It is known for its aggressive nature, and presence mainly in warm, shallow brackish water, brackish and freshwater systems including estuaries and (usually) lower reach (geography), reaches of rivers. Their aggressive nature has led to ongoing shark-culling efforts near beaches to protect beachgoers, which is one of the causes of bull shark populations continuing to decrease. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review aggregator, review-aggregation website for film and television. A deleted scene is footage that has been removed from the final version of a film or television show. A blooper, or gag reel, is short clip from a film, television program or video production, usually a deleted scene, containing a mistake made by a member of the cast or crew. It also refers to an error made during a live radio or TV broadcast or news report, usually in terms of misspoken words or technical errors. The word blooper comes from the early days of radio, from around 1926. Used in baseball by 1940, it meant "hit a ball in a high arc over the head of a fielder". It has been used as a noun from 1931. In the American film industry, a featurette is a kind of film that is shorter than a full-length feature, but longer than a short film. The term may refer to either of two types of content: a shorter film or a companion film. Medium-length films A featurette is a film usually of three to four reels in length, or about 24–40 minutes in running time, thus longer than a two-reel short subject but shorter than a feature film.
