Decorated Period
English Gothic is an architectural style that flourished from the late 12th until the mid-17th century. The style was most prominently used in the construction of cathedrals and churches. Gothic architecture's defining features are pointed arches, rib vaults, buttresses, and extensive use of stained glass. Combined, these features allowed the creation of buildings of unprecedented height and grandeur, filled with light from large stained glass windows. Important examples include Westminster Abbey, Canterbury Cathedral and Salisbury Cathedral. The Gothic style endured in England much longer than in Continental Europe. ''Darkhorse'' is the second studio album by American rap rock band Crazy Town. It was released through Columbia Records/Sony Music on November 12, 2002. The album had two singles, "Drowning", which was a minor hit in several countries, and "Hurt You So Bad", which did not chart. ''Darkhorse'' peaked at No. 120 on the US ''Billboard'' 200, and No. 164 in the UK, achieving considerably less success than their debut album '' The Gift of Game''. The band was subsequently dropped by Sony/Columbia in 2003, and went on hiatus. Production The band initially wanted to record the album in 2001, but were undecided on which producer to choose, wanting to work with either Rick Rubin or Don Gilmore. By the time they settled on Howard Benson, it was already into 2002. The album was recorded and mixed from April to August 2002, with additional work on b-sides and remixes lasting into September 2002.
