Deadwood is a Hamlet (place), hamlet in Alberta, Canada within the County of Northern Lights. It is located on Alberta Highway 690, Highway 690, approximately east of the Mackenzie Highway (Highway 35), north of Peace River, Alberta, Peace River and southeast of Manning, Alberta, Manning. History John Chauncey Eggenberger was the first postmaster and proprietor of the first general store. He was from Deadwood, South Dakota, and left with two cars of settlers to homestead deadwood in 1931. The original store, post office and community hall were located a few miles west of the present day hamlet. The first town hall was demolished in 1936. The current hall was constructed in February 1979, primarily through volunteer labor. Deadwood Peak
Deadwood Peak is a mountain summit located on the eastern border of Mount Rainier National Park. It is also situated on the shared border of Pierce County and Yakima County in Washington state. Deadwood Peak is set on the crest of the Cascade Range, immediately north of Yakima Peak and Chinook Pass, with the Pacific Crest Trail traversing its east slope. Its nearest higher peak is Naches Peak, to the southeast. Deadwood Peak takes its name from ''Deadwood Lakes'' and ''Deadwood Creek'' to its northwest, and their names came from the large number of downed trees in the area. ''Deadwood'' is a board game for 3–8 players produced by Cheapass Games. In it, players assume the roles of bit actors working for a B-Movie Studio who try to make as much money as possible. This is done by taking on roles such as "man on fire," "woman in black dress," and "falls off roof." Players are represented by dice, which denote what "level" actor each player is. The original version of the game was available through various game outlets. The rules, boards, and cards for a revised edition (''Deadwood 2.0'') are now available for free download from the company's website, and are being developed into a deluxe edition via Kickstarter.
