De Beste Singer-songwriter Van Nederland
''De beste singer-songwriter van Nederland'' (meaning ''The best singer-songwriter of the Netherlands''), was a launching pioneer programme of the series ''De beste singer-songwriter'' abbreviated as ''DBSSW''. It was a music contest program in Dutch broadcast on Dutch television channel VARA and BNN, in cooperation with radio station 3FM, where DJ and broadcaster Giel Beelen hosts the search for best Dutch singer-songwriter talents. The jury included Giel Beelen, Frans "Spike" van Zoest, Vince van Reeken, Jacqueline Govaert (Krezip), Eric Corton, Gerard Ekdom and Sanne Hans (member of Miss Montreal). The series was launched on 25 June 2012. The contestants would be tested in their singing and songwriting abilities in various music genres and their ability to work as duos and in bands. The Omroepvereniging VARA (), the VARA Broadcasting Association, was a Dutch public broadcasting association primarily operating in the fields of television, radio, publishing and interactive media. It was a member of Netherlands Public Broadcasting. NPO 3FM is a Dutch rhythmic CHR radio station controlled by public broadcaster NPO. The vast majority of the songs played on-air are rock, alternative, indie and pop, though dance and Mega Top 30 tracks may also air at times. Michiel Antonius Adrianus Beelen (born 25 May 1977 in Haarlem), better known as Giel Beelen, is a Dutch Disc jockey, radio DJ and presenter, working primarily for public broadcaster Omroepvereniging VARA, VARA. Since 2004 Beelen hosted his own breakfast show ''GIEL!'' on national radio station 3FM. In 2014 Beelen achieved a Guinness World Records, Guinness World Record for the longest radio DJ marathon ever, lasting 198 hours of non-stop broadcasting, after having improved the world record for the longest duration continuous crowd surfing in 2011. Jacqueline Govaert
Jacqueline Govaert (; born 20 April 1982) is a Dutch singer, songwriter, and pianist. She is best known as the leader of Dutch band Krezip. After Krezip disbanded in 2009, Govaert started a solo music career. She released her debut album ''Good Life'' in August 2010. Career Krezip Govaert wrote her first songs on the piano at age 12. She graduated from the Dutch Fontys Rockacademie, Rockacademy in Tilburg. Prior to that, she had started the band Krezip in high school. Eric Corton
Eric Corton (born 11 January 1969 in Oosterbeek) is a Dutch presenter, actor, author and diskjockey. He is the face of the annual multi-media charity event Serious Request. Career Eric Corton is an educated actor on the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts, but he is a common celebrity and television personality in the Netherlands, not specifically known as an actor. Gerard Ekdom (born 26 March 1978, in Utrecht) is a Dutch radio DJ formerly at the radio stations NPO Radio 2 and the 3FM. Programs he hosted include Arbeidsvitaminen (lit. ''labour vitamines'', a Dutch term for music played while doing manual labor) between September 2001 and September 2010) on weekdays from 10:00 until 12:00 am, "Effe Ekdom" (September 2010-October 2015) as well as the Friday evening show Ekstra Weekend, together with Michiel Veenstra. Sanne Hans
Roos-Anne (Sanne) Hans (born 22 September 1984 in Dedemsvaart), is a Dutch singer-songwriter and guitar player. She was part of Ysis until 2008 and later formed the band Miss Montreal. Ysis Sanne Hans first was part of the formation Ysis made up of her on vocals and guitar, Inge van Calkar also on guitar and vocals and Ilse Gerritsen on the cello. They all stutter, which didn't impact on their singing.
