Soul Asylum
Soul Asylum is an American rock band formed in 1981 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their 1993 hit " Runaway Train" won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song. The band was originally called Loud Fast Rules, with a lineup consisting of Dave Pirner, Dan Murphy, Karl Mueller, and Pat Morley. They changed their name to Soul Asylum in 1983. Morley was replaced by Grant Young in 1984. The band recorded three albums with Twin/Tone Records and two with A&M Records, with little commercial success. The Men were an American pop rock band from Santa Monica, California. Despite its name, the group had two women as members. ''When You're a Boy'' is the debut solo album by Susanna Hoffs. It begins with the ''Billboard'' Top 40 single "My Side of the Bed", includes the track "Unconditional Love" (co-written by Cyndi Lauper), and ends with a cover of " Boys Keep Swinging", the 1979 song written by David Bowie and Brian Eno. Susanna Lee Hoffs (born January 17, 1959) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actress. With Debbi Peterson and Vicki Peterson, she founded the Bangles in 1981. ''Voices of Babylon'' is the third studio album by the British band The Outfield, released during the spring of 1989 and which spawned an eponymous single. It was the group's last album to feature drummer Alan Jackman until the release of ''Replay'' in 2011. It was also their final album on the Columbia label. Following the album's release, and with their commercial success slipping, the band parted ways with Jackman and hired Paul Read as a replacement for the album's tour. This album features a unique script similar to what is known as the Pigpen cipher.
