David Fatialofa
David Fatialofa is a New Zealand rugby league player who played professionally in England for Whitehaven R.L.F.C., Whitehaven. Playing career Fatialofa was an Auckland Warriors junior and played in the 1995 Lion Red Cup final. He also represented the Junior Kiwis in 1992 and 1993 and played in France during the 1995/96 season. He then moved to England, joining the Whitehaven R.L.F.C., Whitehaven under New Zealand coach Stan Martin (rugby league), Stan Martin. He was named in the 2000 Rugby League World Cup, 2000 World Cup train on squad for Samoa national rugby league team, Samoa but did not make the final squad. Whitehaven is a town and civil parish in the Cumberland (unitary authority), Cumberland district of Cumbria, England. The Warriors are a professional rugby league football club based in Auckland, New Zealand that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership and is the League's only team from outside Australia. The 1995 New Zealand rugby league season was the 88th season of rugby league that had been played in New Zealand. The main feature of the year was the second season of the Lion Red Cup competition that was run by the New Zealand Rugby League. The North Harbour Sea Eagles won the Cup by defeating the Auckland Warriors Colts 28–21 in the Grand Final. International competitions The New Zealand national rugby league team played a two test series against France with tests being played at Ericsson Stadium in Auckland and FMG Stadium in Palmerston North. Junior Kiwis
The Junior Kiwis side represents New Zealand in the sport of rugby league. They are commonly known as the Junior Kiwis, after the native bird of that name. Since 2010, they are an under-20s side, with players selected from the NRL, Intrust Super Cup, Intrust Super Premiership, Jersey Flegg Cup and Hastings Deering Colts. Stan Martin (rugby League)
Stan Martin is a New Zealand former rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s through to the 1980s, and coached in the 1990s and 2000s. He coached at representative level for the Cook Islands at the 2000 World Cup and New Zealand (Kiwi Ferns) to victory in the 2008 Women's Rugby League World Cup, and at club level for Marist Saints, Counties Manukau and Whitehaven. Playing career A Richmond Bulldogs player in the Auckland Rugby League competition, Martin won the Rothville Trophy in 1980 as the Premier One player of the year. The 2000 Rugby League World Cup was the twelfth Rugby League World Cup, World Cup for men’s national rugby league teams, held between 28 October and 25 November and hosted between the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Ireland and France. The Samoa national rugby league team represents Samoa in rugby league football and has participated in international competition since 1986.
