Dave Kellett
Dave Kellett is the creator and cartoonist of two webcomic titles, '' Sheldon'' and '' Drive'', and the co-author of ''How To Make Webcomics''. Early years and education Kellett is a southern California native. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in English and Spanish. While there, he produced the daily comic strip ''Four Groups of the Apocalypse'' for the student newspaper ''The Observer.'' He earned a master's degree from University of California, San Diego in Literature with his thesis, "To draw in the crowd : the cartoon and the 'public sphere' of eighteenth-century England." He received the Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship, to attend the University of Kent at Canterbury in England (within the Centre for Cartooning and Caricature Studies). Sheldon (webcomic)
''Sheldon'' is a daily comedy webcomic created by Dave Kellett. It centers on the odd family unit of 10-year-old software billionaire Sheldon, his grandfather guardian and his talking duck, Arthur. Much humour is character-based, often joking at traits such as Sheldon's geekiness, Gramp's old age or Arthur's over-inflated ego. Kellett's other webcomic, '' Drive'', had appeared on the ''Sheldon'' site each Saturday, before moving to a site of its own. Overview ''Sheldon'' is based on light character-based humor. Pop-culture references are frequent. The comic consists of a mixture of short story arcs and stand-alone strips which, although most typically are four-panel strips, vary in size and format. Stripped (film)
''Stripped'' is a 2014 documentary film about comic strips and their transition from the failing newspaper industry to the web. Work on ''Stripped'' began in 2010. The film's original concept was to make a documentary about cartoonists in their studios. ''Stripped'' features interviews with over 70 comic creators, who discuss their trade and its prospects in the 21st century. Interviewee Bill Watterson created the poster for ''Stripped'', his first published art since ending '' Calvin and Hobbes'' in 1995. Philip Zec (25 December 1909 – 14 July 1983) was a British political cartoonist and editor.
