Darren Styles
Darren James Mew (born 23 May 1975), better known as Darren Styles, is an English music producer, DJ, singer and songwriter from Clacton-On-Sea, Essex. Originally a member of the breakbeat hardcore group DJ Force & the Evolution, Styles found success during the 1990s as one half of Force & Styles. The duo were pioneers of happy hardcore and wrote several well-known songs such as "Heart of Gold (Force & Styles song), Heart of Gold", "Pretty Green Eyes" and "Paradise & Dreams". In the early 2000s, Styles began producing more trance music, trance-influenced records with Mark Breeze, Mark Brady as Styles & Breeze. The duo released two hit singles "You're Shining" (2002) and "Heartbeatz" (2003) which both reached the top 20 of the UK Singles Chart. They have been involved in all volumes of the popular ''Clubland X-Treme Hardcore'' compilation series. Darren Styles also has a collab alias with Stonebank called "Zero Hero". "Heart of Gold" is a song written and recorded by Force & Styles. It was first recorded and released on Force & Styles album '' All over the UK'' (1996) with the vocals originally sung by popular hardcore vocalist Jenna Barr, and it was released as a single in 1998 with vocals by Kelly Llorenna. It is one of the most well known hardcore songs and was used as the name of Force & Styles's greatest hits album ''Heart of Gold''. Ultrabeat (English Band)
Ultrabeat are a British electronic dance music group from Liverpool, England, formed in 2002. Originally consisting of vocalist and producer Mike "Re-Con" Di Scala and producers Ian Redman and Chris Henry, Ultrabeat emerged with their cover of the Force & Styles song " Pretty Green Eyes", which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart 2003. Hixxy
Hixxy, or DJ Hixxy, (real name Ian Hicks, born 1975) is a British disc jockey and electronic music producer known for his innovative work in the UK happy hardcore scene, co-founding the Raver Baby record label, and the Bonkers compilation album series. Career Hixxy began performing as a disc jockey at age 15 under the mentorship of DJ Ramos, and quickly became known on the English rave circuit. Hixxy came to prominence in 1995 when he and DJ Sharkey released their track "Toy Town", which is considered "a classic of the genre, a riot of scruffy breaks and sugar-sweet vocals that signalled a schism in rave history when it was released". Being considered pivotal in the hardcore scene, "Toy Town" led to React Music releasing the first of the '' Bonkers'' compilations in 1996, with Hixxy and Sharkey mixing. ''Feel the Pressure'' is the second studio album by Darren Styles. It was released on 23 August 2010. Background Styles' previous album ''Skydivin''' (2008) was his début album as a solo artist and sold well achieving a Gold certification. Recording for ''Feel the Pressure'' followed on from the release of the first album and Styles' main collaborator was Re-Con who co-wrote and produced six songs on the album.
