''Daria'' is an American adult animation, adult animated sitcom television series created by Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis, Susie Lewis Lynn. The series ran from March 3, 1997, to January 21, 2002, on MTV. It centers on the titular character, Daria Morgendorffer, an intelligent, Cynicism (contemporary), cynical high school student, voiced by Tracy Grandstaff, who had voiced the character in Mike Judge's earlier animated series, ''Beavis and Butt-Head''. It is a Spin-off (media), spin-off of ''Beavis and Butt-Head'', in which Daria appeared as a recurring character. Although Judge allowed the character to star in a spin-off, he had no involvement in the production of ''Daria'' himself, as he was busy working on ''King of the Hill''. Daria Morgendorffer is a fictional character and the eponymous main protagonist of the MTV adult animated series ''Daria'', which originally aired from March 1997 to January 2002. She was initially designed and created by ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' staff writer David Felton as a supporting character, serving as an intelligent Foil (narrative), foil to the two main characters. Eventually, MTV sought to make an animated show catered more to female viewers, and thus Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis, Susie Lewis Lynn co-developed ''Daria''. Susie Lewis is an American writer and producer. She is best known for co-creating and producing the first three seasons of the satirical MTV adult animated series ''Daria,'' which originally aired from March 1997 to January 2002. Education Lewis attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and graduated from New York Institute of Technology in New York City. Career Lewis's career began after she applied for an internship at MTV and then began working on ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' producing the music video segments. Wendy Hoopes is an American actress best known for her roles on MTV's animated series ''Daria'', where she provided the voices for three different main characters ( Jane Lane, Helen Morgendorffer, and Quinn Morgendorffer). Glenn Eichler (born ) is an American comedy writer. He is best known for co-creating the MTV adult animated series ''Daria'', which originally aired from 1997 to 2002. Eichler started out as an editor for '' National Lampoon'' magazine. He then worked as story editor for the MTV television shows ''Beavis and Butt-head'' and '' The Maxx''.
