Queens is a borough of New York City, coextensive with Queens County, in the U.S. state of New York. Located on Long Island, it is the largest New York City borough by area. It is bordered by the borough of Brooklyn at the western tip of Long Island to its west, and Nassau County to its east. ''Palindromes'' is a 2004 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Todd Solondz. Referencing Solondz's previous ''Welcome to the Dollhouse'', it was nominated for the Golden Lion award at the 61st Venice International Film Festival. The protagonist, a 13-year-old girl named Aviva, is played by eight different actors of different ages, races, and genders during the course of the film, which features an array of secondary characters. The names of the characters Aviva, Bob, and Otto are all palindromes.
