Damian Green
Damian Howard Green (born 17 January 1956) is a British politician who served as First Secretary of State and Minister for the Cabinet Office from June to December 2017 in the second May government. A member of the Conservative Party, he served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Ashford from 1997 to 2024. Green was born in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, in Wales and studied philosophy, politics and economics at Balliol College, Oxford. He is married to the barrister Alicia Collinson who was a contemporary of Theresa May at St Hugh's College, Oxford. After working as a journalist for the BBC, Channel 4 and ''The Times'', he entered parliament at the 1997 general election by winning the seat of Ashford in Kent. Mark James Harper, Baron Harper (born 26 February 1970) is a British politician who served in the Cabinet as Chief Whip of the House of Commons from 2015 to 2016 and as Secretary of State for Transport from 2022 to 2024. Sojan Joseph
Sojan Joseph is a British–Indian politician who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Ashford since 2024. He is a member of the Labour Party and previously served as a Councillor on Ashford Borough Council. Early life and nursing career Joseph was born in the Indian state of Kerala. Keith Speed
Sir Herbert Keith Speed (11 March 1934 – 12 January 2018) was a British Conservative politician and former Member of Parliament. He was a descendant of cartographer and historian John Speed. Life Speed was born on 11 March 1934 in Evesham and educated at Bedford Modern School. He served in the Royal Navy from 1947 to 1956 and continued in the Royal Naval Reserve thereafter as a Lt Cdr. After a period as a sales and marketing manager, he gained employment in the Conservative Research Department in 1965. The One Nation Conservatives is a UK parliamentary caucus of Conservative Party Members of Parliament who identify as one-nation conservatives. History In March 2019, the caucus was formed by a group of between 40 and 50 Conservative MPs. Nicky Morgan and Amber Rudd were announced as co-chairs of the caucus, and Damian Green and Nicholas Soames as board members.
