Dakeng
Dakeng (traditional Chinese: 大坑, Hanyu Pinyin: dàkēng) is the area that contains most of the mountain region of Beitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. Hiking and Biking Trails Dakeng also boasts a variety of mountain biking and hiking trails. These trails are managed by the Taichung City Government. A total of 10 hiking trails exist. Each trail varies in difficulty in ascent and descent; with trails 6-10 being more flat and suitable for beginners while trails 1-5 are more vertical and pose more of a challenge. Trails 1-5 are composed of log steps throughout much of the trail with ropes on both sides to help support hikers. Beitun District
Beitun District (; lit: northern camp) is a District (Taiwan), district in Taichung, Taiwan. Located in the northern part of the city, it is a half mountainous, half urban area. Though Beitun District used to be considered part of the countryside, the new Taiyuan railway station (Taiwan), Taiyuan Station has urbanized it considerably. Guanyin
Guanyin () is a common Chinese name of the bodhisattva associated with Karuṇā, compassion known as Avalokiteśvara (). Guanyin is short for Guanshiyin, which means "[The One Who] Perceives the Sounds of the World". Originally regarded as male in Indian Buddhism, Guanyin has been more commonly depicted as female in China and most of East Asia since about the 12th century.
