The ''Daily Times'' (''DT'') is an English-language newspaper that is simultaneously published from Lahore and Islamabad. The ''Daily Times'' is considered a left-leaning newspaper that promotes liberalism, liberal and secular ideas. It is a member of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society. History ''Daily Times'' was launched on 9 April 2002 by Salman Taseer with Najam Sethi serving as its first editor-in-chief. It struggled to attract advertisers in its early years. Later, it launched its lifestyle supplement, ''Sunday Times'', which was included with the newspaper's Sunday edition. At a time when social media was not prevalent, ''Sunday Times'' covered celebrity events and social gatherings, drawing substantial advertising revenue. Over time, ''Sunday Times'' has become a major source of income for the newspaper. ''The Friday Times'' (TFT) is a Pakistani English-language online publication based in Lahore, Pakistan. History ''The Friday Times'' was first published in May 1989. TFT's founder-editor Najam Sethi and publisher Jugnu Mohsin, a husband-and-wife team, are recipients of international awards conferred by Amnesty International and the Committee to Protect Journalists. In 2009, Sethi also won the Golden Pen of Freedom, the annual press freedom prize of the World Association of Newspapers. Hassan Askari Rizvi () ( SI), is a Pakistani political scientist and military analyst who served as caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Pakistan in 2018. He is noted for his work in comparative politics, nuclear weapons and the country's domestic policy. Saulat Nagi is an Australian-Pakistani writer. He has authored several books on socialism (Gramscian and Frankfurt schools) and history. He is a regular columnist in one of Pakistan's leading English language dailies, the '' Daily Times.'' Lal Khan
Lal Khan (born Tanveer Gondal; June 1956 – 21 February 2020) was a Pakistani political activist and Marxist political theorist. He was a physician by profession but ceased practicing medicine in order to devote his time to political activity. Adopting the name Lal Khan, he was the leader of the Pakistani Marxist organization '' The Struggle'', and editor of its newspaper. He also wrote regular articles for ''Daily Times'' and the ''Dunya''. He died on 21 February 2020 after being ill with cancer for more than a year. Zafar Ali Hilaly (, born 1942) is a Pakistani political analyst and diplomat who has previously served as his country's ambassador to Yemen, Nigeria, and from February 2001 Italy.
