Crossroads Center is a shopping mall located in Waterloo, Iowa, United States. It was built in 1970 as one of the first malls in Iowa. The mall's sole anchor store is At Home. It has four vacant anchors formerly occupied by Sears, Dillard's, Gordmans, and Younkers. It is owned by Namdar Realty Group. It is located in the heart of a retail hub that includes a 12 screen theater, Best Buy, Super Target (opened 2000), Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond and many other national tenants. The mall is located near the interchange of Interstate 380 and U.S. Highway 20. The Crossroads Mall was an indoor shopping mall from 1963 until 2004, in Boulder, Colorado. History Development Crossroads Mall opened on March 14, 1963 with 394,000 leasable square feet for retail stores, surrounded by open-air parking. Anchor stores included J. C. Penney and Montgomery Ward, as well as a Randall Shop, the small-format version of The Denver Dry Goods Company. In March 1976, Denver Dry Goods expanded the 10,000 square foot Randall Shop into a 60,000 square foot full-line "the Denver". In August 1979, Macerich acquired Crossroads Mall for $12 million. Crossroads Mall was a shopping mall located at the intersection of U.S. Route 19 and Roosevelt Boulevard on the border of Clearwater and Largo, Florida. History The mall was opened in September 1984 as Bay Area Outlet Mall. Two years after the complex opened, its owners were asked by Pinellas County officials to pay for road improvements necessitated by mall traffic. Original tenants included TJ Maxx and Bealls.
