Crazy Town
Crazy Town (sometimes abbreviated as CXT) is an American rap rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1995 by Bret Mazur and Seth Binzer. Crazy Town is best known for their 2000 hit single "Butterfly", which reached number one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart and helped their debut album, ''The Gift of Game'' (1999), sell over 1.6 million units. Their follow-up album, ''Darkhorse'' (2002), failed to achieve the same level of success, contributing to the band's breakup in 2003. Mazur and Binzer reformed the band in 2007 and released their third album, ''The Brimstone Sluggers'', in 2015. In 2017, Mazur left the band and Binzer changed the name of the band to Crazy Town X. ''Darkhorse'' is the second studio album by American rap rock band Crazy Town, released on November 12, 2002. The album peaked at No. 120 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 164 in the UK. It sold less than 13,000 units in its first week. Crazy Town stated they were not personally disappointed that the album did not sell as well as their last, ''The Gift of Game'', considering they were moving the band in a new direction, away from the pop success they achieved with their number 1 song "Butterfly". Crazy Town broke up several months after the album's release, citing amongst other things including pressure from their record company for a "Butterfly" follow-up. "Bad Boy for Life" is a song by American rappers P. Diddy, Black Rob and Mark Curry, featured on Diddy's 2001 third album '' The Saga Continues...''. Produced by Megahertz (Dorsey Wesley), it was released as the second single from the album in July 2001 and reached number 33 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. Background “Bad Boy for Life” was produced in 1998, but later released in 2001. In reviews of the album, "Bad Boy for Life" has been identified as a declaration of strength by Diddy's label Bad Boy Records. "Revolving Door" is a song by American rap rock band Crazy Town. It was released in August 2001 as the fourth and final single from their debut album ''The Gift of Game''. It was the followup single to their No. 1 hit ''Butterfly''. Whilst failing to chart in the US, the song became a minor hit in several countries, reaching No. 19 in Finland and No. 23 in the UK. Reception Christian Genze from Allmusic stated that whilst "Revolving Door" was not a bad song by any means, it too closely resembled their previous single "Butterfly" to be a real standout. Genze stated both songs feature similar soft guitar loops, smooth beats and a relaxed mood, and that neither song was reflective of Crazy Town's album, ''The Gift of Game'', on which the majority of songs are much heavier. Ozzfest is an annual music festival tour of the United States and sometimes Europe and later Japan, featuring performances by many heavy metal and hard rock musical groups. Mary's Danish was an alternative rock band that was formed in Los Angeles, California in the late 1980s which released four albums, with the last in 1992. Mary's Danish blended a musical mixture of rock, funk, country and soul elements. Origins Named after a line in an old songwriting attempt, the band was led by two female lead singers, Gretchen Seager and Julie Ritter. Charles Frank Mangione ( ; born November 29, 1940) is an American flugelhorn player, voice actor, trumpeter and composer. He came to prominence as a member of Art Blakey's band in the 1960s, and later co-led the Jazz Brothers with his brother, Gap. He achieved international success in 1977 with his jazz-pop single " Feels So Good". Mangione has released more than 30 albums since 1960. Early life and career Mangione was born and raised in Rochester, New York, United States.
