"Countrycide" is the sixth episode of the first series of the British science fiction television series ''Torchwood'', which was originally broadcast on the digital television channel BBC Three on 19 November 2006. Set in a small Welsh village, the episode involves a village full of cannibals harvesting and butchering passing travellers every ten years. It was viewed by 1.22 million people. Gwen Cooper
Gwen Cooper is a fictional character portrayed by Welsh actress Eve Myles in the BBC science-fiction television programme ''Torchwood'', a spin-off of the long-running series ''Doctor Who''. Maxine Evans
Maxine Evans is a Welsh actress who has worked extensively in television and theatre roles. She is best known for playing Rhian in the Sky1 TV comedy drama series '' Stella''. and is also well known for appearing in one episode of the spin-off series of ''Doctor Who'' called ''Torchwood'' as her role of Helen Sherman in the episode "Countrycide" with actor Owen Teale. Owen Teale (born 20 May 1961) is a Welsh character actor known for his role as Ser Alliser Thorne in the HBO fantasy TV series ''Game of Thrones''. Early life Owen Teale was born on 20 May 1961, in North Cornelly, south Wales, son of Roy and Louise Teale. "Small Worlds" is the fifth episode of the first series of the British science fiction television series ''Torchwood'', which was originally broadcast on the digital television channel BBC Three on 12 November 2006. The episode involves the alien hunters Torchwood investigating a group of deadly fairies who intend to turn the Cardiff child Jasmine Pierce (Lara Phillipart) into a fairy. Filming took place in the villages of Radyr and Pentyrch in Cardiff North. Plot Jack is invited to a presentation on fairies held by his former lover Estelle, and brings Gwen along. Murray Jonathan Gold (born 28 February 1969) is an English composer for stage, film, and television and a dramatist for both theatre and radio.
