Copa Nueva Valores
The ''Copa Nuevos Valores'' (Spanish for "New Values Cup") was a professional wrestling tournament promoted by the Mexican lucha libre promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) held between April 3 and April 17, 2018 at Arena México. The tournament was held to give prominence to 16 younger, lower ranked wrestlers who worked for CMLL at the time. As a professional wrestling tournament it was won not by actual competition, but by a scripted ending to a match. The final match saw Magia Blanca defeat Flyer to win the tournament and earn a match for the Mexican National Welterweight Championship held by Soberano Jr. at the time. The tournament also included Astral, El Coyote, Fugaz, Grako, Jorge Kebrada, Maquiavelo, Príncipe Daniel, Príncipe Diamante, Príncipe Odin Jr., Retro, Reyko, Sangre Imperial, Súper Astro Jr. and Yago. Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Co., Ltd. (CMLL; , "World Wrestling Council") is a ''lucha libre'' professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico City. The promotion was previously known as ''Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre'' (''EMLL'') (''Mexican Wrestling Enterprise''). Founded in 1933, it is the oldest professional wrestling promotion still in existence. CMLL currently recognizes and promotes twelve "World Championships" for various weight divisions and classifications, six national level and six regional level championships. Super Parka
Ramón Ibarra Banda (born May 24, 1956) is a Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler, working under the ring name Super Parka. Ibarra previously worked as Volador from 1990 until 1997 and as Super Parka ever since. Ibarra is the father of ''Luchador'' Volador Jr., the grandfather of Flyer and the uncle of L.A. Park (the original La Parka), who was the inspiration for the "Super Parka" character. The term ''Mini-Estrella'' (Spanish for "Mini-Star") is used in lucha libre to describe a division of short professional wrestlers or ''luchadors'', some of whom have dwarfism. The Mexican ''Mini-Estrellas'' is comparable to Midget wrestling practiced around the world, but with the notable exception that some of the ''Mini-Estrellas'' do not have dwarfism but are simply short. ''Forjando un Ídolo'' (Spanish for "Forging an idol") was a professional wrestling tournament held by Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 2011 with the purpose of identifying which of the 16 "Rookies" in the tournament would move up the ranks of the promotion. The tournament consisted of two rounds, first a round robin group round, with the top 2 in each of the four groups competing in an elimination tournament.
