Commonwealth Deputy Secretary-General
The Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth assists the Secretary-General in managing the operations of thCommonwealth Secretariat which is the central institution of the Commonwealth. The current Deputy Secretary-General is Dr Arjoon Suddhoo of Mauritius. Dr Suddhoo's appointment was announced in February 2019 after an open and competitive process, and he took up the post in April 2019. Commonwealth Secretary-General
The Commonwealth secretary-general is the head of the Commonwealth Secretariat, the central body which has served the Commonwealth of Nations since its establishment in 1965, and responsible for representing the Commonwealth publicly. The Commonwealth secretary-general should not be confused with the head of the Commonwealth. Mmasekgoa Masire-Mwamba is a Botswana administrator and an international civil servant, with over 30 years senior-level experience in the fields of business, development and multilateral diplomacy. Krishnan Srinivasan
Krishnan Srinivasan (born 15 February 1937) is a retired Indian diplomat, historian, author, former Indian Foreign Secretary, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations . Ransford Smith, Order of Distinction, CD (born 23 July 1949), is a senior public servant from Jamaica. He was the Commonwealth Deputy Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General for Economic Affairs and Development of the Commonwealth of Nations from 2006 to 2013. Sir Humphrey John Hamilton Maud (17 April 1934 – 10 November 2013) was a British diplomat. Life Humphrey Maud was the son of the civil servant and diplomat John Redcliffe-Maud, Baron Redcliffe-Maud and his wife, the pianist Jean Hamilton. Peter Unwin
Peter William Unwin (born 20 May 1932) is a British writer and retired diplomat. He was Ambassador to Hungary from 1983 to 1986 and Ambassador to Denmark from 1986 to 1988. Hunter Wade
Robert Hunter Wade (14 June 1916 – 7 July 2011) was a New Zealand diplomat. Biography Wade was born in Balclutha in 1914. He was educated at Waitaki Boys' High School before attending first University of Otago then Victoria University of Wellington where he graduated with a Master of Arts. In 1939 he began work at the New Zealand Treasury and Marketing Department. In 1941 he married Avelda Grace Petersen with whom he had two sons and two daughters. Excellency
Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. Once entitled to the title "Excellency", the holder usually retains the right to that courtesy throughout their lifetime, although in some cases the title is attached to a particular office, and is held only for the duration of that office. Generally people addressed as ''Excellency'' are heads of state, heads of government, governors, ambassadors, Roman Catholic bishops and high-ranking ecclesiastics and others holding equivalent rank (e.g., heads of international organizations).
