Comeback Kid (band)
Comeback Kid is a Canadian hardcore punk band formed in March 2001 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band currently consists of vocalist Andrew Neufeld, guitarists Jeremy Hiebert and Stu Ross, bassist Chase Brenneman and drummer Loren Legare. Since its formation, the band have released seven studio albums and seventeen music videos. Their seventh studio album, ''Heavy Steps'', was released in January 2022. History The band was formed in March 2001, by Andrew Neufeld and Jeremy Hiebert who were both members of the band Figure Four, joined by their friends Scott Wade and Kyle Profeta, originally intended only to be a side project. The band's name, originally "The Comeback Kid", comes from a headline in a newspaper about hockey player Mario Lemieux coming back to the NHL. Hellfest (American Music Festival)
Hellfest was an American all-ages music festival that existed between 1997 and 2005. The festival showcased hardcore music in its broadest sense, including punk rock, metalcore, emo, post-hardcore and more. It originated in Central New York, in and around Syracuse, but eventually relocated to Central New Jersey during its final years. Hellfest was known for its fan-friendly atmosphere, including a lack of barriers that provided easy access to the stage for stage diving and sing-alongs. It also encouraged social-awareness through workshops that discussed such causes as animal rights, LGBTQ and politics, with many of its bands and attendees following straight-edge and/or vegetarian or vegan lifestyles. Not unlike many festivals of its size, Hellfest encountered several problems, notably the changing venues mere days before starting. ''Wake the Dead'' is the second studio album by Canadian hardcore punk band Comeback Kid. The album was released on February 22, 2005. Bill Stevenson recorded it over 13 days at the Blasting Room in Ft. Collins, Colorado. The album's main hit, the title track "Wake The Dead", was featured on the soundtrack of the video game ''Burnout Revenge'', and ''Burnout Legends ''Burnout Legends'' is a racing video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation Portable. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Top Heatseekers are "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. Albums and songs appearing on Top Heatseekers may also concurrently appear on the ''Billboard'' 200 or ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Sharptooth is an American hardcore punk band from Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The ensemble has released an EP called ''Chompers'' and two studio albums, entitled ''Clever Girl'' and ''Transitional Forms''. History In May 2017, Sharptooth signed to Pure Noise Records.
