Bent County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census, the population was 5,650. The county seat and only Colorado municipalities, incorporated municipality is Las Animas, Colorado, Las Animas. The county is named in honor of frontier trader William Bent.
