Colonel Bagshot
Colonel Bagshot were an English rock band formed in the late 1960s in Liverpool, England. Originally called "Colonel Bagshot's Incredible Bucket Band", they began as a six-piece, eventually becoming a four-piece. Their final line-up included Brian Farrell (vocals, guitar, stylophone), Ken Parry (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Dave Dover (vocals, bass, keyboard), and Terry McCusker (vocals, drums). The band released several singles and one studio album (''Oh What a Lovely War'') in 1971, which included their best-known song, "Six Day War", later remixed in 2002 by DJ Shadow and titled " Six Days" and by Mahmut Orhan in 2018 retitled "6 Days". Joshua Paul Davis (born June 29, 1972), better known by his stage name DJ Shadow, is an American DJ, songwriter and record producer. His debut studio album, '' Endtroducing.....'' was released in 1996. Six Days (song)
"'Six Days" is a song by American trip-hop artist DJ Shadow, from his second album, '' The Private Press''. The song was written by Brian Farrell and Dennis Olivieri, and was produced by DJ Shadow. It was released as the third official single from the album in 2002. The main vocals of the song are sampled from the 1971 song "Six Day War" by the British band Colonel Bagshot, with some riffs taken from the 1970 song "I Cry in the Morning" by the American singer Dennis Olivieri. Brian Farrell of Colonel Bagshot and Olivieri are both given songwriting credits on the track. Music video The song's music video was directed by Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai. It features actor Chang Chen and Malaysian model Danielle Graham. Shadow approached Wong Kar-wai, one of his favorite directors, in an attempt to create a music video unlike his previous ones. Mahmut Orhan
Mahmut Orhan (born 11 January 1993) is a Turkish disc jockey and record producer. Orhan started working with music in Bursa at the age of 15 and would eventually move to Istanbul to work at a " Bebek" nightclub in 2011. He first experienced international success in 2015 with the instrumental song "Age of Emotions". One year later, his song "Feel" featuring Turkish singer and songwriter Sena Şener appeared on charts in Greece, Germany, Poland and Romania, among others. The song reached number one position on musical platform iTunes. In 2017 Mahmut released a remix of "Game of Thrones" and the song "Save me" with Romanian singer Eneli. Terrence LeVarr Thornton (born May 13, 1977), better known by his stage name Pusha T, is an American rapper, songwriter and record executive. He rose to prominence as one-half of the hip hop duo Clipse, which was mainly active from 1994 to 2010, alongside his older brother No Malice. Cadet Records
Cadet Records was an American record label that began as Argo Records in 1955 as the jazz subsidiary of Chess Records. Argo changed its name in 1965 to Cadet to avoid confusion with the similarly named label in the UK. Cadet stopped releasing records around 1974, when its artists were moved to Chess. There was also Cadet Concept Records, for rock and more adventurous music, such as the Rotary Connection, and the experimental psychedelic ''Electric Mud'' album by Muddy Waters. The label had a Top 20 hit in 1968 with the single "Pictures of Matchstick Men" by the British band Status Quo through a licensing arrangent with Pye Records in London. Disques Vogue was a jazz record company founded in France by Léon Cabat and Charles Delaunay in 1947, the year after the American Vogue label ceased. They originally specialized in jazz, featuring American performers such as Sidney Bechet, Dizzy Gillespie, and Gigi Gryce (sessions reissued on CD under Clifford Brown's name), in addition to local musicians Django Reinhardt and Martial Solal.
