Claudio Amendola
Claudio Amendola (born 16 February 1963) is an Italian actor, director and television presenter. He starred in the 1993 film '' The Escort'', which was entered into the 1993 Cannes Film Festival. Biography Born in Rome and the son of actors and voice dubbers Ferruccio Amendola and Rita Savagnone, Amendola started his movie career during the 1980s, playing comic roles in some Italian comedies directed by Carlo Vanzina. In 1987 he played his first dramatic role in ''Soldati - 365 all'alba'', directed by Marco Risi, and in the following decade he confirmed his dramatic skills in some movies like '' Ultrà'' (1990) and '' The Escort'' (1993), both directed by Ricky Tognazzi. During the 2000s Amendola became a very popular television actor, acting in the popular fiction ''I Cesaroni'', the Italian version of ''Los Serrano''. Ferruccio Amendola (22 July 1930 – 3 September 2001) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Turin to actors Federico Amendola and Amelia Ricci and the nephew of director and screenwriter Mario Amendola, he was among Italy's most accomplished actors who worked for cinema and television and also did extensive voice dubbing work. Amendola moved to Rome with his family at a young age and he made his film debut at age 13 in '' Gian Burrasca'' directed by Sergio Tofano and continued working on cinema, television and theatre in his later years. In 1945, Amendola made his voice-over debut dubbing over Vito Annicchiarico's role in the film '' Rome, Open City''. By 1968, Amendola began devoting most of his time to voice-over acting and eventually became well known as an Italian voice dubbing pioneer. Ricky Tognazzi (born Riccardo Tognazzi; ; 1 May 1955) is an Italian actor and film director. He has appeared in 50 films and television shows since 1963. His film '' The Escort'' was entered into the 1993 Cannes Film Festival. In 1991, he won the Silver Bear for Best Director at the 41st Berlin International Film Festival for his film ''Ultra''. Five years later, his film '' Strangled Lives'' won the Alfred Bauer Prize at the 46th Berlin International Film Festival. He is the son of film actor and director Ugo Tognazzi and the half-brother of actor Gianmarco Tognazzi and film director Maria Sole Tognazzi.
