Claire Oberman (born 1956) is a Dutch-born New Zealand actress, known for her role as Australian nurse Kate Norris in the television drama ''Tenko (TV series), Tenko''. Her other TV appearances include ''Fortunes of War (TV series), Fortunes of War'' as Mortimer, ''Paradise Postponed'' as Lonnie, ''Gentlemen and Players (TV series), Gentlemen and Players'', as Alex Farrell in ''Trainer (TV series), Trainer'', as Mrs. Jeffrey Fairbrother in ''Hi De Hi'', as Sarah in ''To Be the Best'', ''Bugs (TV series), Bugs'' and ''Eleventh Hour (UK TV series), Eleventh Hour'' (2006). Tenko (TV Series)
''Tenko'' is a television drama series co-produced by the BBC and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), which was broadcast between 1981 and 1985. The series dealt with the experiences of British, Australian and Dutch women who were captured after the Fall of Singapore in February 1942, after the Japanese invasion, and held in a fictional Japanese internment camp on a Japanese-occupied island between Singapore and Australia. Having been separated from their husbands, herded into makeshift holding camps and largely forgotten by the British War Office, the women had to learn to cope with appalling living conditions, malnutrition, disease, violence and death. ''The Two Ronnies'' is a British television comedy sketch show starring Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett. It was created by Bill Cotton and aired on BBC1 from April 1971 to December 1987. The usual format included sketches, solo sections, serial stories and musical finales. Origins Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett met in 1963 at the Buckstone Club in the Haymarket, London, where Corbett was serving drinks between acting jobs. At the time, Barker was beginning to establish himself as a character actor in the West End and on radio.
