Chunvalia Koli
Chunvalia, or Chuvalia, Chunwalia is a subcaste of the Koli caste found in the Indian state of Gujarat. The Chunvalia Kolis were the first Indian caste to adopt the game of cricket in India. Chunvalia Kolis were classified as a Criminal Tribe under Criminal Tribes Act by government of the British Raj because of their purported anti-social behaviour and activities, such as alleged highway and gang robberies (dacoity), theft of animals and crops, murder and blackmail in Gujarat. During the First World War, Chunwalia Kolis were enlisted as soldiers in British Indian Army by the Bombay government of British India. Origin The Chunvalia Kolis are said to be from forty-four villages (Chunvalis) of Chunval Pradesh of Gujarat. Their name may be from Chunval Pradesh which was ruled by Makwana Koli landlords. Wadiyara Koli is an Indo-Aryan language of the Gujarati group. It is spoken by the Wadiyara people, who originate from Wadiyar in Gujarat; many of whom are thought to have migrated to Sindh in the early twentieth century, following the onset of famine. Parkari Koli Language
The Parkari Koli language (sometimes called just ''Parkari'') is a language mainly spoken in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. It is spoken in the southeast tip bordering India, Tharparkar District, Nagarparkar. Most of the lower Thar Desert, west as far as Indus River, bordered north and west by Hyderabad, to south and west of Badin. Lexical similarity 77%–83% with Marwari, 83% with Wadiyara Koli. Orthography The orthography was standardized in 1983-84 and used from 1985 onward. Thakor also known as Thakarda is subcaste of Koli community of Gujarat. Koli forms the largest caste-cluster, comprising 24% of the total population of the state.
